NFL Season 09-10

OK...The season is 2 months away. I am looking forward to it. One mainly because of course I am a Lion's fan. I want to see if they are going to flop or if they will actually win more than 5 games. I know that could be a stretch. What are your feelings on some pre-season moves for your teams??

Jon...after going 0-16...you should be pysched for the FIRST win!!! Being a Bills fan, I am curious to see how T.O. fits in with Trent Edwards. Will be cooperate or will he break Edwards down???

I was hoping the Falcons would have done more on defense because a couple of key guys signed with other teams. On the whole, I am very much looking forward to the upcoming season.

Go Falcons!!

We picked up Shaun McDonald from ya'll. I think it was a plus for our team.

He is a good player I will admit but the supporting role for him not so much. I was quite disappointed that the Lion's instead of going for offensive line they go for someone else to get pummeled because there is no blocking and a tight end. Whoa don't hurt themselves. They have been doing some changes though in free agent and it will be exciting to see them win a game

With the off-season pickups (draft, trades and free agents) I am very excited for the Eagles' season. GO BIRDS!

The Bears have a QB now so let's see if the receivers can catch. Should be good

My Pats will have Brady back. Coach Belichick traded most of the draft picks away that's how stacked the Pats are, they picked up a few free agents.
I am pretty sure the Pats will pick up a veteran or two after teams make there final cuts.

Who Dat Baby!!

Saints will have a top 3 offense again this year. If Gregg Williams can turn around the D and put it in the top 15, we're going to be scary!

Go Cardinals! Can't wait for the season to start.

I loved out draft, my favorite pic was our 5th rounder LSU offensive lineman Herman Johnson, that guy is a monster and very athletic.

I loved that they resigned Warner and Wilson.

I think Boldin should shut up and play, his time will come.

I hated that we Franchised Dansby, 9mil for this year and he has no intentions on signing a long term deal till next year (with the uncapped year) he is not worth 9mil and his cap hit is the main reason the Cards will not resign Boldin this year.

I really can not stand when sports figures refuse to leave the game.

It is a little tiring, but the media makes it a much bigger deal than it really is. The man has earned the right to change his mind and there will be a team waiting if he does. Let the man play, he is better than atleast 4 or 5 starting QB's in the league right now, including, but not limited to: Vikings, Packers, Jets, Raiders and Lions (pending Stafford). :2

Re: NFL Season 09-10

I don't like how he hijacks a team every year making them wait and not allowing them to get their team in order. It is right up there with players who refuse to play until a team restructures their contract.

The Lion's I think aren't going to start him just yet they will let Culpepper play a couple games until he gets "hurt" then put stafford in

At this point he is not better then Aaron Rodgers. Compare their stats from last season. They Packers made the right decision on letting Favre go. Rodgers is the future and the better player now. Packers D is what needs fixing.

:tpd:

Patriots should be back in the hunt for the Lombardi trophy this year. I wish they had picked up some players that might be with the team more than 1 or 2 years (really how many years does Shawn Springs have left in him?). Also, they really needed to improve the pass rush by getting Jason Taylor or Julius Peppers and that didn't happen. Despite those short comings they're still one of the best teams in the NFL if not the best.

:tpd: The media is to blame for things like this. I imagine it would be very hard to leave the game, especially knowing a pretty darn good team would like to pay you millions to give you another shot!

Go Vikings :wo

Just thought I'd let you know:

Former QB Kosar files for bankruptcy, owes Browns $1.5M
June 19, 2009
CBSSports.com wire reports

MIAMI -- Former NFL and Miami Hurricanes star quarterback Bernie Kosar has filed for bankruptcy protection in Miami.

Kosar's Chapter 11 filing Friday lists assets between $1 million and $10 million and liabilities of between $10 million and $50 million.

Kosar owes almost $1.5 million in "unsecured debt" to the Cleveland Browns, who he played for from 1985 to 1993. Kosar also owes his ex-wife Babette $3 million and $725,000 (from a personal loan) to the owner of the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League. He owes a bank more than $9 million for bad real estate deals.

The 45-year-old Kosar got divorced in 2007 and last year saw his steakhouse go out of business.

Kosar, who also played for Dallas and Miami, retired from the NFL in 1996.

This doesn't surprise me. Most professional athletes have no clue how to control their money. Who knows how much of that money was blown to booze and pain killers.
