Top 10 Bassists

http://shortattentionspan.net/10-of-...-in-the-world/

Discuss. Know them all but the guy from Muse. Flea and Geddy Lee would bang the bass in my dream band.

And for grins, the best radio talk show for the bass enthusiast...Bass Talk:r

If John Entwistle was alive and was not number 1 , it would be a tragedy. I have some of his solo stuff on vinyl and it is crazy amazing. Check out this video:

Although I'll give Roger huge credit for his lyric skills one needs to realize that a ton of the PF studio recording bass was actually done by Dave Gilmour despite the listed credits. It was kept on the down low for a long time but once the sh*t hit the fan during his lawsuit against the other band members the real stories started to come out. Listen to a live recording with RW playing the bass and then listen to the studio version. You'll hear how Roger tends to attack the bass line playing at the head of each section whereas the studio versions have a much more laid back sound which is more in keeping with Dave's phrasing.
Yes, I'm a Pink Floyd nut, but at least I'm honest about it.

Watched an Iron Maiden documentary last night from a 2008 show, and I must admit Harris is pretty good.
