CI's "Make Me An Offer"

Anyone have experience using CI's make me an offer? I was just wondering what kind of discount to expect and what kind of offers they will accept.

Just wondering if anyone is getting a deal. Thanks

Re: CI's "Make Me An Offer"

I've scored a couple times on MMAO.

I've won while usually offering half price.
Won 2 10 packs of RP Sun Grown Toro's, on 2 different occassions for an offer of $30.00.
Also won a 10er of Sol Subano SUmatra's for $19.00

Seems half of the suggested retail for an offer has worked in my limited experience

:D

Found this to be hit or miss. Start low, then go up a bit. Also good to double-check what the item sells for normally. You CAN get some decent deals here.

I've gotten a couple of great deals on there, but like others are saying it's hit and miss.

I've found I can get much better deals on everything that is in the MMAO on the devil site. For the price of a quick buy on the devil site I've been denied more than once on MMAO.

Just something to look at before your next offer

I have purchased a couple of lots from here, but these were only for items that were not on CBid. I felt that I did get a few nice deals but nothing spectacular.

Just picked up a couple of bundles on this. Saved a few bucks but nothing outstanding. Then again, a few bucks is a few bucks.

I just offered 18 bucks for a box of Cusano C10 (10 pk) and was shot down as "cold". No surprise there, but the MSRP was only $60, so I thought it was worth a shot.

Never won any on make offer, but I'm cheap.

like others said it is totally hit or mis.I offer half and they usually turn me down. I have been trying 2 figure what discount they are giving but I don't think they know. I offered the same price another site had a box on sale for and they told me it was cold. Then for something else I offered what I paid at the devil site and was again told it was cold.

I just picked up a 10pk of Tat Havana VI for 40 and another 10 of RP Sun Grown for 30. All in all I think they are pretty solid deals.

I made them an offer of two 40's of OE800 and a bag of Doritos for some Opus X's.

SteveR sent me an email back telling me that if I wanted some Arganese, then maybe he could do something with that offer.

I have tried a few times with no success on there. Like others have mentioned, I generally find better pricing on cbid.

If they don't have it on Cbid, I look at what it normally sells for on CI and start my bid at around 60-65% of that. I think I usually end up paying around 80% of what CI is asking on the "normal" site.

I have made some AWESOME offers there before... Offered $175 for the Opus 22 set... No luck

You need to be a bit careful about that though.
I don't really know why, but different cigar vendors will have wildly different prices on various blends.

For example, Atlantic has some of the best deals on JdN Antanos. The same cigar at CI is damn near 50% more expensive (I think I got a box of Consul for about $65 vs. $95 at CI).

But then compare Padron prices, and CI has it all over Atlantic (well when they have them in stock that is).
