I say Jeff Gordon or Kyle Busch

Mark Martin is winning. It would be nice to see him win one.

I hated him in the 6 car, but now he's one of the old ones out there, I'm pulling for him.

Me too. I still don't like his whiny attitude, but he is a Hendrick car so I will root for him. Plus, he is old and never wins

The main reason I didn't like him is b/c he came down and dominated the Busch races. I think the good Cup drivers should not be allowed to race in the Busch (now Nationwide) series.

I see both sides of it. I mean, it would be nice to see the non-Sprint Cup guys win a race, but on the other hand, not as many people would show up for the races.

Not as many would show up at first, but after a few names are established, then tickets will sell. Besides, a lot of people just buy package race weekend tickets anyways.

I still wish NASCAR would start up another league (Southern League) and run all of the old tracks down South that aren't used by NASCAR anymore. N. Wilkesboro, Hickory, Old Nashville Fairgrounds, Rockingham, another Darlington event, a Bristol, Richmond, and Martinsville event.
I think this could be a big money maker if marketed right.

NASCAR has lost a lot of its core fan base over the last 10+ years. This might appease a lot of us rednecks.

I still say take a race away from boring ass Pocono or Cali and give one to Kentucky Speedway.

Cali hasn't been drawing like they thought it would. Take away an event. Pocono can be boring but it is unique. I kinda like Pocono and love the road courses (but glad there are only two)

We could get Dick Trickle, Rick Mast, and Bill Elliott to race :)

Throw in Nemechek, Mayfield, Ward Burton, Randy Lajoie (sp), and then some young new talent.

I miss Ward Burton. No matter if he wrecked, finished last, or won, he would always say: "We had a really great car" in his Southern drawl while his chin never moved :r

He failed to qualify one week. He said he had better things to do anyway like go home and feed the chickens and hogs on the farm. A true country boy.:r

Man, whatever happened to Jerry Nadeau? I know he had a horrific crash, but damn, I thought he would come back. He had raw talent.

Ricky Craven too. Wish he would come back.

Wikipedia says Nadeau retired after the big crash at Richmond.

We need Junior Johnson in the Southern League. If he isn't the league, then there is no Southern League.
