NBA Playoffs

Today starts the NBA playoffs and there are a lot of interesting matchups:

Eastern Conference
#1 Cleveland Cavaliers vs. #8 Detroit Pistons
#2 Orlando Magic vs. #7 Chicago Bulls
#3 Boston Celtics vs. #6 Philadelphia 76ers
#4 Atlanta Hawks vs. #5 Miami Heat

Western Conference
#1 Los Angeles Lakers vs. #8 Utah Jazz
#2 Denver Nuggets vs. #7 New Orleans Hornets
#3 San Antonio vs #6 Dallas Mavericks
#4 Portland Trail Blazers vs. #5 Houston Rockets

The East is full of upsets but at the end of the day who can stop Cleveland?(more importantly LeBron). LA is going to cruise to the finals IMO. Should be an interesting playoffs at the least.

As far as I'm concerned the Pistons are the only team in the NBA. They are gonna' squash LeBron like grape!

It's a long-shot, but I'm hoping for my Trailblazers to make a run deep into the playoffs. Being in the same bracket as the Lakers will make it even harder to get to the Finals. But first, bring on the Rockets!

Rip city Uprise!

Was a great game by Denver yesterday. Loved that one.... :D:D If they can play like that throughout the playoffs, we might just surprise a few people and make the conference finals or maybe the NBA finals (hey I can dream big too :r)

I really think Denver has a chance to make it to the finals. If Chauncey can play like he did last night against L.A then they have a great chance.

Man how I would love for them to make the NBA finals... would definitely be a highlight for me. Been a nuggets fan for several decades now and we can't seem to make a decent run for a title...

One of only 7 teams I think never to win a championship in the NBA... :( When teams like Boston have 17 it definitely makes ya think its time for one here in Denver! :D

i dont like that statement.

Mo Williams is the reason why Lebron shines. True, Cleveland could not win the title without LBJ... They could also not win it without Mo.... or maybe even Delonte West.

Regardless. the Cavs will win it, they want it more than the Lakers. This will be Clevelands first title victory since 1948 when the browns won (what would be) the super bowl. Besides, chemistry is a known word in Cleveland....

I am rooting for the Orlando Magic this year b/c I loved them back when Penny Hardaway and Shaq were on the same team. I know they won't win though, so I hope Cleveland wins. LeBron is a beast.

No doubt about that, I have seen that man play twice and he is absolutely one of the sickest athletes I have ever watched. Almost hit his chin on the rim when he went for a break-away dunk in LA last year. :jd

I dunno about that one. Lakers are so deep especially with Bynum back in the lineup. Kobe realizes this is his best chance to get another ring. Lakers in 6. Lebron vs Kobe is going to be a great finals. In the end I don't think Cleveland will have an answer for the Lakers depth.

I don't care who is around Lebron though he is getting better and better every year. He is amazing and is going to get even better.

Boston got the calls......... It was chicagos game to either win or lose. Boston had over 30 points in second chance shots:rolleyes: You cant win a game giving up that many points in second chance shots.

Yes he was... but the real question, can he continue to carry the weight for them to make it out of the first round? Idk... I could see Miami going home in the first round.

No way they make it past the 2nd round if they make it past ATL.

I hate the Jazz too... but I hate the Lakers more, so that was a consolation prize for me last night... I am kind of hoping the Jazz can take it to 6 games and make the Lakers work hard for it... Might wear them down enough for the Nuggets to dominate them in the Western Finals. :D

WOW... anyone else see the Nuggets completely dismantle and embarrass the Hornets? Beat them by 58 points to tie a record for largest margin of victory in a playoff game. The record that was tied was set in like 1956 or something crazy.

Go Nuggets!

Incredible game for Denver. I cannot believe how poorly N.O played. They just looked heartless out there.

Yeah they did... and they have looked terrible all series really. The nuggets had one bad game against NO where nothing was going right, and they still almost won that game. The combined margin of victory for the 3 nuggets wins is 102 points vs the Hornets 1 win is 2 points. I just hope we can keep playing well and surprise a few people when we beat the Lakers. :D
