First cigar in a year
Ok, so let's suppose that an old friend of yours (cough me) might like to get back into the swing of things at some point. Let's say this friend hasn't had a cigar for a year, or any tobacco period for a couple of months.
What cigar would you recommend to said friend and why? I'm just curious as to what you all would say. Yes, said friend has been out of the cigar loop for some while... but that doesn't mean he's forgotten everything either. |

Re: First cigar in a year
Padron 1926 mad.
Full bodied smooth and OOOOOOOOOOOOO SOOOOOOOO tasty. You and your mouth will take the tasty train to delicious land. |
Re: First cigar in a year
Mmm. perhaps a padron is another stick for me to think about.
I absolutely love their 1964 el principe's (I actually prefer the naturals over the maduros however) |

Hey Blake, Good to see you on here!

Re: First cigar in a year
Check out the new Oliva Connecticut Reserve. Great mild smoke, buttery and creamy profile with a little Nicaraguan kick.

I'd go with the Cabaiguan as was recommended earlier. Great mild-medium smoke.
|
Re: First cigar in a year
What did you like before? I would probably go to a Hemingway, any size, or the aforementioned RyJ Habana Reserve - that's a great budget smoke.

Re: First cigar in a year
Well, I had an avo le 08 last friday. It was delicious. I quickly remembered why I don't smoke anymore though. Gosh, cigars are a luxury and are pricey for a college student!
Either way, it was a great cigar. |

Re: First cigar in a year
Well, I smoked another cigar today. Bizarre right?
I pulled a rocky patel 92 vintage out of my humi that had been sitting there for a few years. It was alright. Nothing too special honestly. But, a cigar is a cigar! And the fact that I smoked another one is a bit disconcerting... (well maybe not for you guys) Here comes the slope. (If I stay away from CC's I should be fine) |
