Relatively new to cigars....looking for recommendations/ideas

Howdy, I recently started smoking cigars about four months ago. It started with one at a golf course and now I find myself caught in the romance of the leaf. I love the traditions....the accessories...the time it takes to enjoy one. I recently smoked a rocky patel 1990 that I loved and was wondering if you guys knew of any that had a similar profile...I liked the coffee and chocolate flavors it had. At one point, about halfway through I swear I was chewing on coffee beans.

Any ideas? And thank you, in advance?

Scott

Oh, no kidding. I started buying a few here and there, a five pack here, a box there....I quickly filled my 100 humi and had to move to a cooler I modified. Now that is full too and I just realized that I've ordered another 75 cigars!!!!!! CRAP!!! but in a good way. I am WAY Hooked. It's awful (awfully good, that is)

Obviously, the Asylum is the place for me.

Any other recommendations? Like I said, I'm fairly new to cigars. I've been buying fairly randomly just trying to find ones that I like.

I didn't get any chocolate flavor from the 601 Blue I smoked. It was a bold, peppery cigar. I will say that most cigars that people describe as tasting like coffee or chocolate I don't pick up those flavors. I do seem to pick up cedar, pepper and sweet spices better.

- Arturo Fuente Hemingway (Short Story, Classic, Signature, Work of Art, Between the Lines) Maduro
- Perdomo Lot 23, Perdomo 2, Perdomo Habano Maduro

Thanks CigarNut....that's two votes for both the Padron and AF Hemingway Short Story. I'll be sure to try those.

Dunkel, I had a 601 Green label yesterday...very heavy on the pepper flavor - I agree with you there...I'm hoping the blues live up to their billing
