Damage to Uncelloed Cigars?
So I have a good number of uncelloed cigars an unfortunately they all are starting to get some minor damage to them. Does anyone have any quick fixes for this problem? Other than "be more careful"?

Re: Damage to Uncelloed Cigars?
you coudl use pectin to repair tears and such. you can buy it at a grocery store. although it will be a little shiny where the fix is.
That is the ultimate question though. if you take htem out of the cello it (makes me feel as if) breaths better. But it is very easy to damage them. Honce the ongiong debate! |

Quick fix?
Smoke them. Duh. |
Re: Damage to Uncelloed Cigars?
I keep mine in the bags that B&Ms give me. They come in a variety of sizes that can hold 10, 5, or just a single.

single finger baggies are great for prevention, but pectin seems to be the way to go for repair. good luck :tu

Stop playing with your cigars man, they're not Lincoln Logs.

As long as you treat them with care, they will be fine!!! |
Re: Damage to Uncelloed Cigars?
If they are larger quantities, I keep mine in the original boxes until I get down to about 5 or 6. They are pretty safe in the box.

Re: Damage to Uncelloed Cigars?
I guess I should add, I only have a ~150 count desktop humi. My top tray is where I keep my "special" cigars (ISOMs, HTF NCs) most of which are un-celloed. I have pectin, but it is more of the foot chipping that I'm worried about. Some of these smokes might go out in MAWs and such and I'd rather take care of them as best I can.

with limited space i know its easy to stack sticks awkwardly to get them all to fit, but you have to be careful, and make them comfortable. if space is an issue, i'd suggest getting a tupperdor going, unless you have the means to pick up another / upgrade your humi

Of course if you ship a cigar that normally doesn't have cello with it, then it might be wise to include a note stating that you put the cello on it and why. |

For the times I need it, I just re-use it from cigars I've smoked, it can be a bit wrinkled or a little loose, but it still protects well enough. |
Re: Damage to Uncelloed Cigars?
I say you could use some single baggies for some of your more special cigars that you are worried about.
Also grab another humi and have one for those special sticks so your not digging in it everyday. That could cut down on all that shuffling around they might get. Third would be a cooler. That way you can store certain cigars in boxes and place them in the bottom for safe storage. |

Another idea is to save your tubos and put them in there. I know most of mine just collect dust and I might start using them for this reason.
