I'm about to go to RI in a few weeks, but with an 80% tax I'll be sure to bring my own.

North Carolina is currently discussing a tax hike on tobacco and alcohol. It'll probably go through.:mad:

Last few times they tried to raise the tax on cigars, snuff, and pipe tobacco it failed. It is in the proposed 2009-2010 budget though. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I think Alaska is 75%, not Arizona... arizona looks like 20.25-218¢/10 cigars... if I'm reading this right.

I'm not sure on the % but it figures out to around a quarter per cigar here in AZ.

Arizona tobacco tax is $0.218 (21.8 cents) per cigar.
