How does it hold up Justin? Looks like a weird design for the clip.

Re: First Firearm Thread.

It's all kydex and it just clips over your pants and belt. You pick a clip size based on the width of your belt 1.5" or 1.75". It's all molded from once piece of kydex

Since I'm new to the whole AR world, if I were to find a slightly used one that fits what I'm looking for, what questions should I ask the seller? I'm looking at a varmint style, so don't know if that makes any difference. Should also add, more than likely this would be done online, so I wouldn't be able to handle it before hand.

1. Chrome bore/chamber?
2. Semi-or M16 Bolt carrier group? (It will fire semi either way but the m16 bcg is heavier and typically runs better, not a deal breaker either way)
3. Round count?
4. What kind of trigger?

Why not get a regular style AR and just use it to varmint hunt?

Prepare to pay a pretty penny in this market regardless.

good deal on a budget rifle case here if anyone needs one.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001MYETTQ/...WQ6DWHFNHBX9YG

bear in mind that won't fit AR rifles too well.... at least not with any substantial optics mounted on them.....

Well, that's where logic goes out the window. I kinda fell in love with the Varmint style look a few years back. Always thought it would be cool to get one. Fast forward to today's situation and now I have this desire to get one. Unfortunately I seem to have the worst sense of timing. I'm in no rush, the right deal would have to come along for me to pull the trigger (ha!).

I have always ordered one with the holster since all orders have been a first for that particular gun.

Most important to me would be to ask if its was an actual rifle or it was put together from parts. Right now though if its a pieces and parts rifle vs. a good quality AR (LMT-Bravo Co, Colt, Knights armament, Daniel Defense, Spikes, Yankee Hill Machine, Saber Defense, forgetting a few) Prices are to the moon I would hold off for little unless you must have one now.

Not bad from either company, but if I was purchasing any used upper, I'd be a little hesitant if I couldn't see it first. Reason is I'd like to be able to check the crown for any damage and wear to any other parts. Brand new I'd have no worries as I can deal with the company to fix any issues.

Nice tests galore.
Either will kill with good shot placement. If you can shoot the 40 as good as the 9 and get good follow up shots, go with the bigger bullet. :2

You just cost me a few hundred bucks and a couple hours of my day. :D.

A couple hundred rounds of Federal 147 grain 9mm. I had to buy that many to make the shipping cost worth it. :D

Ok it's official I hate Gander Mountain with a passion! I called up there today and asked if they had a specific shotgun in stock. They said yep sure do. Drove the 30 min drive there. Get there and they never had it in stock. ****ing cocksuckers! Waste of an hour and gas! Never going there again, I'll pay more to go elsewhere before I buy there again.

180 grain and 135. I want to get some Underwood ammo, too bad they are out. Also looking to get some cheaper range ammo.

took an AR upper out for a spin today. 20" barrel, looks like good quality barrel, used, don't know anything else about it. Shot a 1.25" MOA group at 100yds from a shaky table & bipod, at dusk.... got a feeling that group will get a hell of a lot smaller on a solid bench, I could see the crossshair in the scope bouncing up and down... Looking forward to a proper range day someday to really shake it out.

I need to get a light for it and some night sights Dan. Any thoughts on what to get? As far as a light, I'm looking at the Surefire X300 ultra, but I don't know if I can get a similar light for less money.
