Not really a "show" as such as they went straight into the freezer for their post-travel nap, but my latest order just arrived from Taboo:

Atlantic Cigar rocks my house... again!
As a Canuck I cannot say enuff good things about Paul and the guys at Atlantic! Here's my latest haul (although the lighters and Palio are from a previous order a week ago where I also bought a box of EP Carillios (not shown)
http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...21_2010000.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...DSC00417-1.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...21_2010004.jpg I am home recovering from shoulder surgery and bored to Hell so I find myself picking up the phone and calling Paul from Atlantic ever couple weeks. We talk cigars and he suggests new things for me to try. This is the 10th or 11th time I've ordered from them and always the best in product, price and service! I was hoping to get a lot more Padron Exclusivos but he only had the 4 singles left. I simply said send me a nice mixed bag of tricks but be sure to inlcude a few Alec Bradleys, some Don Pepin Blues and Cigar show sampler Version 1.0 He put together almost 40 of my faves and many I have yet to try. http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...21_2010001.jpg XIKAR HC SERIES CHURCHILL COLORADO (7x48) ALEC BRADLEY SCR CHURCHILL (7x48) ROOM 101 By Camacho 323 TORO (6x50) QUESADA 35 ANIVERSARIO LTD (6x49) GRAN HABANO 3 SLS SALOMONES LTD (6.75 X 64) LA FLOR DOMINICANA LTD HABANO PERFECTO (5.62x54) PINAR DEL RIO CLASSICO ROBUSTO (5x50) LA AROMA DE CUBA NEW BLEND ROBUSTO (5x54) CASA FERNANDEZ ROBUSTO (4.25x52) CUBAO MADURO ROTHCHILD NO. 4 (4.87x50) The top-right group of 10 are a sampler from the 2009 IPCPR. It's the 3rd time I've bought this particular ampler from Atlantic... all 10 are great smokes and for a tad over $50 you can't go wrong. (the Gran Habano 3 SLS Salomones alone tastes like a $25 cigar) They ALL rock! They have a second version (they call it version 2.0) that is also excellent (I've ordered it twice) Lighters are a Montecristo with red Romeo y Julieta design (weighs a ton and has the same feel as an ST Dupont) the La Gloria is a no name but very good quality for the money. Hate to sound like their poster-boy but this is a great hassle-free source for smokers North of the 49th parallel. Subscribe to their newsletter and get the inside scoop on their new arrivals and killer sales. Giddy-up! |

Re: Show your latest NC purchase!
They're made by Tabacalera Tropical, same people that roll Illusione cigars.... If I'm not mistaken...

Re: Show your latest NC purchase!
Yeah, def. not a tat blend, lol
|
Re: Show your latest NC purchase!
I heard it's blended by Don Garcia. Lol just to throw that into the mix.
**EDIT:** From Tex cigars: "JFR stands for Just For Retailers which is why it's so hard for us to get our grubby paws on these sticks. Made by Tobacalera Tropical the JFR is shrouded in mystery. Was it originally blended by Pepin after his exodus from Cuba? No one is saying yea or nay but it matters not, this is a good stick. It's a great value, woody notes and spice are the core flavors of this medium bodied cigar. " |
Re: Show your latest NC purchase!
Jose "Don Pepin" Garcia... or Don Garcia?

Man, somebody stop me. I've bought way too many cigars lately :( Lol. Good thing my wine cooler is showing up end of the week :r
I've never bought a box of Arturo Fuente cigars before...and it was really cool that they had a humidity pack inside the box (the white square below the box). http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1218/...141405f9_b.jpg |
Re: Show your latest NC purchase!
The short story is a very good cigar after a few months of rest! Nice pickups guys!
|
Re: Show your latest NC purchase!
What Chris said, nice pick up on the Short Stories Brian
|
Re: Show your latest NC purchase!
Fuente has been doing that for awhile now and some of CAOs boxes come with them too. Hopefully its a trend that catches on.

Re: Show your latest NC purchase!
Looks like you ordered this from JR? I did the same on one of their auctions last week still waiting for delivery on these great smokes. I liked them since they were a shorter smoke I could enjoy without feeling too baked in the heat here.
Also received a box of CAO Brazilian Sambas that had a humidity pack in it was impressed atleast they care about the customer in the end. Quote:

Picked up the LGC's as well just because I'd never had any LGC's and I figured for the price why the heck not. Their "art of the cigar" packs are cheap enough that I don't feel bad not buying a single to try first. I always figure...if I can get the cigars cheap enough, at worst, they'll be a great yardgar :tu |
