Reds headed to Chicago today for three games versus the Cubs. Both teams with winning records so far? Who'd a thunk it?

The Reds are doing pretty good so far this year :tu

Reds close to being no-hit by Cubs' Arrieta. Down 16-0 in bottom of ninth inning.

Yup, it just happened.

Boy, that was ugly, unless you're a Cubs fan of course.

Re: Red's Fans Check in

Don't feel bad, Brian, Arrieta is a beast.

elderboy02 04-22-2016 06:28 AM

Re: Red's Fans Check in

How about the Cubs fan running on the field and celebrating with the team? I guess it was worth the night or 2 in the Hamilton County jail because he will be on the highlight reel forever. I was watching the game live and didn't even see the fan at first until I saw the 3 Cincinnati cops running at the guy :r

Cubs fan runs on field and touches Arrieta's head.

Most lopsided no-hitter loss in MLB since 1884. (Back then it was just called "B", times were simpler. :D )

Great tweet last night from the Dodgers, said :

Quote:

Hey @Reds, Arrieta no-hitter support group meets on Mondays
The Reds were quick to respond:

Quote:

@Dodgers We'll bring the Budweiser
Pretty cool....

It's a long season, but 100 losses are not out of the question at this point. Think another starting pitcher got hurt on Thursday, they're already digging near the bottom of the barrel for replacements.

Reds have now lost 10 games in a row. This will be my last comment in this thread, maybe I'm the jinx.

Jay Bruce traded to NY Mets. hate to lose his throwing arm and (lately) solid hitting. It makes me wonder if something the batting coach said finally sunk in, or he was trying to make himself a better trade candidate?

Re: Red's Fans Check in

Don't let the ownership fool you. What happened wasn't a rebuilding move, it was a salary dump...

Yep, I'll miss his defense and personality, but time for him and the Reds to move on :tu

I am liking it! Hopefully Homer Bailey can get back in action so we don't have to suffer through Arroyo anymore :tu

Last night's game was fun to watch! Scooter Gennett, first Red to ever hit four home runs in one game. Ten RBI's ties the team record.

Bailey is our Opening Day starter. First time in his career.
If everyone stays healthy this year we'll do better than last year, but no division winner for sure. Not sure how the rest of the division looks, but I imagine their GMs didn't sit on their hands all winter like in Cincy.

Blacked out today. On opening day of all days. I dont know how they have me in Washington and Baltimore's coverage area, but they do. I'm smack dab in the middle of Braves country down here.

Look at the bright side, Andy, you can still watch their first run of the season. ;) ;s

Washington is a dominant team. They are world series caliber this year if they stay healthy.

Lol, true!

First win of the year finally up against your Cubbies. Mahle looked pretty good yesterday. Looks like Chicago is going to have another good team this year once their bats wake up.

One week into the season is way too soon for panic or doom 'n' gloom. But, it's not been an encouraging start to the season.

No apologies needed, your team has had plenty of its own woes through the years...decades...century.

So, the next bobblehead night promotion here is set to honor....Bob Ross, the long-deceased painter who had a show on PBS for years. I guess the team has run out of players, coaches, announcers, etc. to commemorate?
