Some images are spectacular right out of the camera.
Some images need just a bit of refining in post processing to really shine...
And then there are the images that look rather mundane as shot... but with some heavy handed post processing in the computer, can be made into hidden gems.

I thought I'd share a few before-and-after examples of the latter category. Images that to me were "meh" out of the camera, bound for the cutting room floor... but with 5-10 minutes experimentation in post processing, became finished pieces I'm proud of.

A few of these pics I took nearly 10 years ago, but am just now revisiting them with a fresh eye. Maybe it will inspire you to reconsider a few of your own images in a new light.

*processed entirely in Lightroom, although the same could be achieved with photoshop.

Nice processing Francis! Although, it would look really cool with an image of Godzilla poised just behind Big Ben and the House of Commons towers;)

Imagination...:D

International tractor company made them. BTW, great pics of some classics. Love 'em.

HA, I thought the same thing Remo did....

I hadn't been around in SO DAMN LONG, got the stinky end of the douchebag from a higher-up here and his pal
and I didn't want to be here anymore, didn't want to see their posts or names in print. But today I decided to
pop in and see how things were. Been into some great stuff in Memphis, bringing the songwriter scene back
to more respectable levels. Comparing very favorably to Nashville again now, but without all the crappy things
about the other music city.

1950s Buick, maybe a '57 Century?

Uh, checked, and headlights and turn signals are NOT 1957.

To be honest I don't recall. I think it was earlier to mid 1950's.

4-holer likely wasn't a Century was it? Wasn't the 4-holes reserved for the higher end models?

Personally I have no clue, but a quick google says 4 holes standard in '55-'57 Century.

BTW, 1957 Century was just my first (apparently wrong) guess, as all I could judge from the photo was mid-'50s Buick of some model.

'55 and '56 had different grilles, it's a '55. :)

Thanks, but in the ORIGINAL photo by Ron, post #4276, and the pic that started all this discussion, we cannot see the grill . . . only part of the front bumper.

You can blame Ron for posting an untitled picture, but I prefer you blame me for asking what it was. :r
