Not sure we're going to make it to the Aroma Cigar Room this evening as the weather guessers are calling for a rain / snow mix starting late this afternoon into tomorrow. Tomorrow, Post 1796 American Legion in New Windsor, NY is having a Christmas Market and Fair that will host over 20 vendors along with Santa and Mrs. Claus available for pictures. They'll be plenty of cheer and good tidings for all to enjoy. We'll be there around 0700 (7 AM) to set up and the event goes from 1100-1700 (11 AM - 5 PM). We had a good weekend overall: the office party was well attended and all had a good time; the American Legion Christmas Market was a huge success, over 500 people made their way through the fair and all the vendors were very happy; congrats to the Eagles on another win, I hope your team won as well. Beth and I spent time with a number of family members and got plenty of rest at home as well. This will be an easy week at West Point as the Cadets are still off and half the Cadre are home as well. Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's the last Friday of the year. As planned, we got all the holiday stuff down and stored to include the Christmas tree and all. After relaxing a bit in the afternoon, we tapped a new keg in the kegerator: Newburgh Brewing Amaizing Lager https://untappd.com/b/newburgh-brewi...-lager/2874435
For dinner, we went with a couple of Angus steaks on the grill along with baked potatoes and grilled brussel sprouts which all came out great. Afterwards, I went over to the Aroma Cigar Room and smoke a couple of primo stogies and spent time with the fellas. This weekend will be a relaxing one as Beth and I are saving up our energy for our week in Key West which is always a great time. Enjoy all and stay safe out there..... :banger

For the majority of it, Beth and I stayed home and watched a lot of college and pro football, fired up the BBQ and all. We are getting ready to head down to Key West early Thursday morning as a car service is picking us up at 0545 (5:45 AM). Good morning all, the espresso coffee is on and we are officially on vacation. The car service should be here in roughly an hour and we're packed and ready to go. I ended up packing another 5 pack of top end cigars for those special nights walking down Duval after a great dinner and enjoying the warm night breeze. Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it’s looking like we’re going to have a beautiful day here sunny Key West. Beth and I had a great first day on vacation seeing some old friend, stopping in at a few of favorite watering holes and mostly relaxing with our nephew Gary. Gary is bartending today (during the day) at Fogarty’s so Beth and I will get in some sight seeing, possibly go on a boat ride and will definitely smoke a few primo cigars. Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it’s going to be another nice day down here in Key West. Beth and I went to one of our favorite brunch spots yesterday: Rams Head https://ramsheadsouthernmost.com/. Afterwards, we headed over the Green Parrot and listened to some ole’ time jazz, smoking cigars and drinking a few cold beers. Congrats to the Eagles on their win and now the NFC East Champions. Our nephew Gary has today and tomorrow off, so we’ll be out and about with him. I see cigars, good food and cold drinks in the near future. Enjoy your week….. 👍

Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and already “Hump Day”. We had a great day yesterday, got a good walk in and then spent the afternoon at the Smokin’ Tuna where Zack and Caffeine Carl rock it. A couple of our friends came down from New York and met us there. They come down every year and spend a month in the sun. We have another day and half here before we head home. Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Thursday which means that normally we head over to the Aroma Cigar Room after dinner. That may not happen tonight as the weather guessers are calling for quite a bit of rain and I've told myself a few times not to put myself in hard way. The back roads to the cigar shop are quite hazardous in bad weather and I'd rather stay home and spend the day Saturday with the crew. The rain wasn't that bad and the evening traffic was smooth as well. A number of the regulars were out as well as a few new faces. We had a good weekend overall: went to the Aroma Cigar Room on Saturday and spent the day with the crew; afterwards, went to the "Best of Little Italy" in Monroe, NY and picked up dinner for Beth and I; enjoyed watching football when I got home and a big congrats to the Eagles and the Chiefs for advancing in the Playoffs. Yesterday, we had our West Point Cadets over for pizza from Prima in Cornwall and congrats goes out to the 49ers and the Bengals as well. We have another adverse weather conference call scheduled for noon today which will probably result in sending the civilian work force home and closing the West Point elementary & middle school. The Academy will continue as the Corps can train on military tactics / MS Teams classes. We had a good weekend over all: Saturday, I spent the day at Aroma with the guys and came home to a homemade lasagna the Beth prepared; yesterday we stopped by the Newburgh Brewery after doing some shopping and then went to a chili cook-off at the Shamrock Tavern which was off the charts.

Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's brisk 21°F outside as we speak. It's going to warm up later on today and hit 40°F so the grill will be on tonight as it was last night. Beth and I fire up the outdoor grill as long as it's above freezing and the wind is minimal. During the Spring, Summer and Fall months, we actually BBQ 5 to 6 days a week on an average. Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's back to work Monday. Congrats to the K.C. Chiefs on their win last night and being crowned the 2023 Super Bowl Champs. The Eagles had a great season, it just wasn't their night. Now that the NFL is over, it's time to enjoy the beginning of the NASCAR season with the Daytona 500 this coming Sunday.
