Samuel Smith's Oatmeal stout. Had to see what all the hype was about. Definitely good :tu :tu. I think I like the Imperial stout better but not by much pretty solid brew.

Had a Christmas Board meeting the other night, opened with a Bell's Christmas ale draft--which was just okay. Followed that by a La Chouffe, which was awesome. :tu

I would suggest you buy some of this before it's all gone. It's that good.
http://www.fototime.com/3279068DD86F76D/orig.jpg From Ratebeer: COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION Lukcy Basartd is a dry-hopped meeting-of-the-Bastards in a in-the-fermenter-blend of Arrogant Bastard Ale and Double Bastard Ale…with a perfect balance of the essence of OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale. All in all, one awesome Bastard. Lukcy Basartd Ale will be released in November and should be available in many of the enlightened locations where the liquid Arrogance is typically found. This is a ‘once only’ special release commemorating the 13 year anniversary of when Arrogant Bastard Ale was first released upon the unsuspecting public. That is, ‘once only’ unless we decide to make it again. |
Re: What beers are you enjoying?

Saw some of the lucky bastard yesterday but passed, may have to grab some.
Drinking some Southern Tier Harvest right now. Good stuff, I don't think I've had anything from Southern Tier that I haven't enjoyed. The 2xIPA is awesome |

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I heard. It's probably the best hobby I've found. It's enjoyable, and saves money, compared to every other hobby. I know there are some other homebrewers here, but feel free to ask any questions. I'd be glad to help. I'm sending awsmith a few of mine here soon. All I really have right now is some nice session beers. It will be awhile before I can brew a bunch of my bigger awesome beers. My FES and IPA are awesome. 35 gallons (6 beers on tap) was consumed at my house on halloween, all homebrew. It was awesome.
Enjoying a 2009 Brooklyn Monster Barleywine. Very nice. |

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
The new Alexander Keith's Harvest Ale is pretty decent. Worth a try at least, but nothing majorly different from their regular ale.
|
Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I had a couple Great Lakes Christmas Ales last night. Normally I'm not too fond of "winter warmers," but this was just outstanding, like Gramma's holiday spice cookies in a bottle. Ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, molasses. Yum.

Started with Pisgah Vortex II and finished with Ska Brewing Nefarious Ten Pin.
Although there was some 1792 and Rip Van Winkle 10yr in between :D |
Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Stone Vert 10... Honestly, I think they're right when they suggest drinking after the future date. Tastes pretty good, but there's definitely something I can't put my finger on that's kind of, not right. IMO of course.
Had Stone IPA last night and I thought it was excellent. I followed DFH 90 with it and I thought it was far better. |
