9 minutes to go, down by 3, Bruins pull the goalie on a PP ...

and there's the empty net goal with 9 to play .... the Bruins season is over, time to get rid of Ms. Rask.

Gustafson actually made a handful of amazing saves in the first and got zero support in the second, one of the goals was a "fourth chance", he was laying on the ice trying to cover up and 3 Bruins just standing around while one of the Sens was whacking at the puck over and over till it went in, team did not come to play. I like Claude but this game was not a shining moment in his career.

Claude may be coaching elsewhere in October. :2

Flyers are in! :wo

They exceeded my expectations for this year and I'm stoked to have more Flyers hockey to watch.

It's funny this year a lot of people have said that to me, took a little time, I guess I just saw it early. :tu

Not very confident right now. Parise hasn't skated in 3 days due to some mysterious upper body injury and our speedster Haula (has been on a scoring tear) might miss the first game also.

Crazy Kings-Sharks game going on, back and forth. San Jose just made it 4-3. I have the Kings in the playoff pool, but I won't be that sad if the Sharks take the series.

Great TB / STL game last night... not sure why people are calling for Abdelkader to be suspended (unless it's just people from TB), from what I saw two guys jumped him, he got out from under them and took care of some business.

"Abdelkader had a big time advantage there." Again, he didn't when two guys jumped on top of him and took him down.

I'm just shocked that Tampa is already playing the Blues, and somehow Abdelkader was acquired by them. :)

On a serious note, I agree with you completely, Adam.

For more whining (and even alluding to conspiracy theory), catch Hitchcock's post game press conference from last night. Oh, the poor widdle Bwuesies....

Good game between the Kings and the Sharks, can't believe Jumbo Joe is still playing ... why harry sinden said the kid was done like 14 yrs ago :lr

Good to see Looch getting a shot at the playoffs, he's out there throwing some playoff caliber hits tonight too.

Sorry, Tom, clearly I jinxed Looch .. :lr

I wonder how Rask was able to get in goal instead of Mason..

Sharks are looking like a much different team than years past. Maybe the embarrassment and missing the playoffs is what they needed. Some great hockey all around being played. Love the playoffs!

Lehtonen was absolutely lights-out brilliant last night. Dall go up 2-0 in the series. The goal off Dubnyks helmet from behind the net is one of the weirdest things I've seen.

Hope the Wild make a comeback to make this one do on a bit. Great teams to watch!

I'm still trying to figure out how that was a goal. Unless they called Dubnyks attempt to stop the puck from rolling into the net as intentionally knocking the net off the moorings. My club showed some effort tonight but just not enough. Couldn't capitalize on numerous scoring chances. Breakaways, 2 on 1s, nothing. Pp is terrible. Extremely frustrating.

That goal on Mason was heartbreaking to watch....over and over and over again. :r

Sharks have been up 2-0 against L.A. before. And Jones was under .500 at home while crushing it on the road in the regular season. This one could be a long way from over, and I'm glad 'cause it's a great series so far.

Watching the Wild dominate the Stars for the first few minutes of the 2nd period, the place is dead quiet, swear I was thinking they were in Dallas :sh

GREAT 2nd for the Wild. Though looks like they may start the 3rd on the PK.

I can't understand why it takes my team having their backs against the wall to skate like that. I haven't seen them skate like that since last years playoffs against the Avs. They were flying the last five minutes of that period.

Not looking good, Joel, the Caps are a force in the East.

Minnesota is back in the series, definitely need to hold serve at home in Game 4 though.

Brandon Saad?

That said, the Hawks need to find some of that "2013 Vs. Detroit" magic, or looks like there will be a new SC Champion.

The road is littered with teams who thought they had beaten the Blackhawks in a playoff series. (Not an original thought, I read this somewhere the other day). I remember last year (Toews needs to engage high gear - eh Tom?)

It ain't over, till it's over!

Re: NHL '15 - '16 Season Thread

All they can do is take it one game at a time, Neil. They forced Game 7s against Detroit (2013) and Vancouver (2011) after being down 3-0, and against L.A. (2014) after being down 3-1. All I can wish for at this point is another Game 7. :)

Sharks looked good this series. Last night after giving up the three goal lead and coming back to win it was big. Hope the Ducks/Predators series goes 7 for some extra rest!

Really thought they were going to tie it up, Pete. A nice comeback, just a little short. We will have to wait for '17 for that Hawks-Wild rematch.

A lot of really strange goals against us in that series too. That's not why they lost but definitely had an impact. I'm hoping the do a small scale yard sale this offseason. Right now I'd trade Suter for a box of Gurkhas.....

Flyers are finished for the year, but I was happy with the season and progress the team made. The last 1 1/2 months of the season were great.

And, what an entertaining game last night between the Panthers and Islanders. Best game of the playoffs (I've seen) in any series, IMHO.

It's pretty bad.....and I'm not the only one around here that feels this way. There is a growing mob that feel he's where the negative attitudes are stemming from. Not to mention he didn't win a puck battle all series.
