Backstrom scores again, giving the Caps an OT win. After no goals in last 23 regular season games, has 3 goals in 4 games in the playoffs.

Nice...I know the Hamburglar was a cool story, but I wonder if the Sens might have been better off going with Craig in Game 1.

Congrats to Hall Gill, retiring after 16 NHL seasons, 5 Worlds tourneys, several Stanley Cup finals and 1 Chapionship, not bad for the Bruins draft pick taken 200th plus! Always loved him, not withstanding his time with the frogs in Montreal.

Rugged guy but never to far over thie line, good for Gill. :tu

I also can't spell championship, other than the time in this sentence, from there it is all down hill.

They better, I don't think they want to go back to Nashville for a Game 7. Game 7's can end with crazy things happening....Can you say "Alec Martinez"? :hn

Hawks get past a tough Nashville team, time to bring on either the Blews or the Mild. :D

And we have our first 2nd round matchup, Ducks V. Flames....should be a good one, spped and toughness on both teams.

Love me a Game 7! No dog in the fight, doesn't matter if you're a true hockey fan. Should be EPIC!

Have a late meeting might miss the first period or so, I'll probably shoot over to Callahan's to watch it instead of fighting rush hour traffic and missing the game.

Wow TB gets the empty netter on the random clear out off the boards (or possibly a player). The best part is the Lightning won every game against the Habs this season, should be an interesting series.

Love Milbury at the end when they are talking about knowing the goalie (talking about the Ducks / Flames series) and if that gives you an edge and Milbury says "Well if you can say something about his sister or his mother ... to get to him." :r :r :r

Watching Ny/Washington game right now ... Wow I can't believe how slow the game is compared to anahim series or the Chicago series . Looks like slow motion hockey .

Only chance the east has is if the western teams beat the hell out of each other before the cup final series .

I watch NHL channel and listen to NHL on XM daily so I knew of the injury, glad to hear he will be good to go for next season.

Hopefully the Blackhawks score 36 goals tomorrow night in his honor.

Nice to see Kimmo skate with the cup, a feel good story, like when Borque won it with the Avs, hard not to be happy for the guy. :tu

Same here. I was rooting for TB, but Timmonen's always been a solid d-man and class act, so it was nice to see him go out on top.

Agree with all of the Timonen love. Was happy to see him win it on his way out and as a Flyers fan was happy NBC showed him and Coburn shake hands in line.

Congrats to the Hawks.
