Goooodnight. 5-0 in the second. Apparently the Caps scored 6 unanswered goals against the flames in the second

Caps had a scoring frenzy tonight...

And my hapless Hurricanes are still winless at home after getting spanked by the Penguins tonight.

Two shut-outs at home... only problem is that WE are the team that has been shut out.

Still, had a great time tailgating before the game with my wife, BarneyBandMan and his wife, Barney'sFunGirl.

Posting this one seperate because I thought it was very very cool.
Listen to the audio exchange at 50 seconds. Tells the player he is comming to hit him. the player says thanks after for letting him know.

The fight call out is pretty cool also.

Briere is a little puss...although calling Briere a puss is an insult to pusses.

With their depth on D I am assuming more at forward. I saw an interview with him yesterday, seems like a really good kid.:tu

I really wish the NHL offered an uncut audio channel. IE either a couple of interesting guys mic-d up the entire game, or just adding more mics on the ice surface and broadcasting the sound of the game only, without announcers.

It'd have to be off basic cable due to the language and probably charge a premium for it, but in my opinion it'd be worth it. I can remember a few times over the past years where the announcers audio was cut out due to some tech issues, and it was great. They would definitely need more on-ice mics though.

Well with deep analysis like this I am sure the NHL Network will be calling you for the analyst spot. Just hit them with that and if a player is scoring he will earn a spot in a lineup and your gold. :r

Sorry just had a Jim Rome moment.

Hendry, Pisani, Scott

Pisani got his first as a Hawk, although they are crediting it to Campbell for the moment.

Yeah, Thomas looks like he is back on his A-game.

The more I watch Toews, the more I think he is hiding an injury....he just doesn't seem to be skating with a purpose, and he ain't the kind of kid to dog it.

The Blues homers called it blind side, but looked to me like Perron was facing towards Joe, but had hit head down...and I wrong?

Ahbroody 11-05-2010 01:14 AM

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread

I dont know I just watched NHL Network on it and viewed the youtube clip a few times. Its hard to say. Holik didnt think it was blindside and said he embelished. Kind of demonstrated by him not missing a shift and scoring a goal moments later.

Do I think he embelished yes. He clearly was not hurt nearly as bad as he made it look. Did joe leave his feet? no. I didnt even see him lift up in the clip. He is taller then him so his shoulder was on his head. That said it was in the head and it will be interesting to see how the league views it. I dont think it was blindside. Joe was infront of him and he had his hed down and no clue. He did get him on the buttin though and the league may give him a game for that. Will be funny as Joe may argue what do you want me to do not hit people shorter then me?

Only Chris Pronger is allowed to argue to that effect, aka "Pronger Physics".
