I think the Fruity Pebbles one is Leinie's Berry Weiss. I grew up about 45 minutes away from the brewery. Needless to say, I've had a few of just about all their beer.

If you're lucky enough to have a Trader Joe's close by they often have some of their own brews. I finished a bottle of 9% last weekend while smoking Partagas cigars.

I noticed a few weeks ago that Sam Adams came out with an Imperial series. From what I saw there were 3 different kinds, stout, white ale, and double boch; I believe they are all 10.3% ABV. I had the white ale and it was a good but the sweetness was overpowering.

Last night went to the Yardhouse.I drank too much but it was all in samples 4oz size.

Anchor Steam
Left Hand Milk Stout
Rogue Shakespeare Stout
Boddington's Pub Ale
Breckenridge Vanilla Porter
Young's Chocolate Stout
Warsteinier Dunkel
Free State Gold
Free State Ad Astra
Rogue Juniper Pale Ale
Rogue Dead Guy Ale
Konig Ludvig
Scrimshaw

Like I said I drank to much. If you have a Yardhouse near you I encourage you to go. The food was great, the service was on point, and the waitress actually knew the beer. It was a great time.

Yeah I was reading about that. I would love to go. I also read that they ran out the whole batch before the party was over. Sounds like an amazing beer.

yeah, great buzz on popskull... probably limit 2 bottles this year like they did last year for their special brew... darklord is usually limited to 6 per person. but this year with the tickets they are allowing two tickets per person but haven't said how many you can buy with each ticket. If they are not upping their production maybe only 3 per person thinking people will max out on the 2 ticket rule. but each ticket is $10! either way, dark lord day will be another headache  :r

I'd like to get my hands on some of this to try, unfortunately it's only available in Hawaii & California--from my "365 Bottles of Beer for the Year" calendar:

Maui Brewing Coconut Porter
Maui Brewing Company, Maui, HI

http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...tporter-sm.jpg

If you love coconut and chocolate you'll love this. Blend of cocoa/chocolate malt and toasted coconut. Near 7% alcohol adds an almost liqueur twist to this smooth and drinkable experience. Hops are accented at very cold temperatures. Malt and coconut accented at temperatures above 50ºF—which is recommended serving temperature. Spicy Thai coconut red curry with this coconut-enhanced porter is a marriage made in beer heaven. Gold medal award winner in the Herb & Spice category at the 2006 World Beer Cup. (Note: Maui Brewing Company doesn’t use flavorings for their coconut porter—real coconut is added to every batch.)

Sounds weird, but very interesting!

I saw this when I went to the Stone Brewery and wanted to try some but there were just so many Stone brews that I didn't get around to it. It does sound like something one would want to try.

Drat's Honilla Old Oak Ale

Never heard of it? Well, that's because it's my latest homebrew mutant. 12% abv and the most complex flavor profile I've done yet. Honey, vanilla, cinnamon, oak, and nearly as black as my soul...

I should have a contest up soon for sending one of these out. It was a limited release (just under 4 gallons) so I can't spare too many...
