I love that blue Bretling Superocean, where is the best places to look for one. I am just window shopping right now, not 100% sure on a nice watch.

Best place to buy a breitling is from an authorized Dealer.

Online, i would check Jomashop.com to see the entire selection of breitling watches... although i have heard mixed reviews on their service...:(

Buy it on www.timezone.com or www.watchnet.com and wait for someone selling one or post a WTB ad. Once you settle on a few watches and a trigger price, you can start searching. Once I settle on a watch, it's just paitience until I can find it at the realistic price I want to pay.

Don't buy watches new from a dealer unless you got deep pockets. Generally, you can get about 50% off on something you'll be the only one who knows that it was worn by someone else first. :2

I was looking for something to substitute for wearing my Sub Date all the time. For being 20 years old it still looks good but I want to keep it that way.

My mom got me a neat Luminox 3050 that only weighs 55 grams. I've been wearing it since Christmas day. I'm enjoying the almost nonexistent weight lol (as well as the nice trit tubes) My Sub and Explorer II have both lost their lume long ago.

I get my Seamaster Professional in a few weeks as well. Can't wait! Thank the Lord for wedding gifts!!!!

I have a leather banded Skagen for daily wear, and a Kenneth Cole I wear for dressier occasions. But this weekend, while in Dallas, I picked this up (pre-owned) as an early graduation gift to myself
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...u/GradGift.jpg

The face seems kind of an off-white (parchment like) but in the sun it's pearlescent, I really like it, it has a black gator band, flawless condition, it's a limited edition 105/199 (didn't find out until after I had decided on it) to boot.

Its called a Seiko Black Monster

You can find em on sale at worldofwatches right now on rubber.

The band is called a watchadoo and can be found on Ebay as well as other watch sites. There is another brand that looks almost the same but has curved end links to mate better with the watch case. I'm leaning toward that. Its a 20mm lug width.

That bracelet is very similar to the jubilee bracelet. I know you can buy the Seiko 007X/007K with that bracelet.

Heiko, was the design commissioned by your private artist or were these watches available to the layman consumer?

Those are probably the best NC's I have smoked in a long time. The tobacco is Mexican, correct?

C'mon Brian... sheesh... that tobacco is from Kentucky!

As for the watch, it's nothing without the coveted SwatchGuardĐ. :D

SPOT ON< SPOT ON!!!! That is exactly what i was going to write.

the orange monster is hard to come by too, and i believe it can be had for 140.00 on W.O.W... and i believe the watchadoo will run you about 45-50... so yeah, you could have that setup with the rare orange face for sub 200.00

Wow, some nice watches in here... I'm no collector, not because I don't want to, but because I can't afford the hobby.

It's nothing fancy, but I wear this every day:

Also looking into picking up one of these: http://www.worldofwatches.com/detail...fZSRA2hX51PJtg

Anyone know if its a good choice? I just love the style, and always wanted an automatic.

We quoted a customer on creating an Accutron-like replica like they wore in Battlestar Galactica in the early 80's. Much cooler than the Casio and originals sell for good price. There was a lot tooling, as well as desining & manufacturing circuit board and buttons. To make the whole watch in CH and be 100% Swiss Made was a fairly big investment (around 400K for the first 1000 watches). The watch would have $1.5-2K retail price in SS.

Anyone intersted and picking up where our customer left off, please PM me.

I just got this back a customer's watch from service. It's a gold Zenith power reserve manual wind. The movement is really nice and it's pretty accurate now (shameless plug) :banger

Looks pretty expensive and gentleman-like. Very classy piece.

Another joker with absolutely no sense of who I am. For the record, my dialy wearer is an SS Invicta Chrono, $100 when new, ideal for knocking around without worrying about scratches and such.

While it's liable to change in a week (as usual) I think I have figured out my next watch, probably for this summer

a Breitling SuperOcean Steel Fish with a black rubber strap. I tried one on today and it looked and felt great, and they're not too bad price-wise. Anyone have one of these or can offer an opinion?

Thanks

tried on the steelfish Xplus with rubber strap, felt good. Diameter pushed the limits of being too small (for my big wrist). sharp looking watch regardless! You'll be happy!

see, it pushes the limits of being to big for my small wrist, but it still felt good, and I actually liked the bigger size.

I just need some dough (a job) to materialize over the next few months
