Shot my first wedding. IT was pretty fun and relatively stress free.

Re: Photography Thread
Wow, another two bite the dust. Congratulations on a relatively stress-free gig. My mother used to say,
"You should really be doing wedding videos". I told her it's all fun and games til you miss the garter toss, or the smushed cake or whatever it ends up being. No thanks, lol. |

Disclaimer: I did not take this. My sister took it, she is quite the artist. I just loved the photo so much I had to share
It is a picture of my son at Pine Knoll Shores, NC last week http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g..._5705144_n.jpg |

Re: Photography Thread
It's funny, I used to go out walking every night or at least every other night, but til I got a nicer camera,
I never thought, "Hey, take your camera out with you". Well tonight I was out hoping to see the ducks that hang out in this creek. Tonight they were there, and so I took the settings to continuous shooting, and shot the ducks. As the lens sags and rises, the shots are all over the place, especially on the slow shutter speed I had to use near dusk. So sometimes the ducks were not even in the shot. So I was deleting the crap and something caught my eye. Good thing I had the polarizer on so I could see through the water easily. Right as I am hitting "delete", I see a pattern.....can YOU? The duck must have because those shots are consecutive at about a half second a pop. It only took the duck a half a second to leave the frame. http://i954.photobucket.com/albums/a.../IMG_1509x.jpg http://i954.photobucket.com/albums/a.../IMG_1510x.jpg That's a Brown banded Water Snake.................. |

Re: Photography Thread
That snake is comming up in stealth mode ready to strike. Video of that would be sweet. Nature at work kill or be killed that is the cycle of life in the wild...

Re: Photography Thread
Those are non-venomous -- Brad may know different, but a duck is WAY too big a meal for that snake.
Very cool shot though |

than to kill that snake deader than dead. One that size, might end up in a draw, but I still give the edge to the duck. |
