Beth and I had a productive weekend along with a friend of ours transforming our home inside and out from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's already "Hump Day". Beth and I are putting up the Christmas Tree tonight which will make the house completely transformed from the Fall to the holiday season. We have a busy Saturday and Sunday coming up as it's the only off weekend we have before Christmas. Next weekend is the Army / Navy game and the weekend after that Army takes on Air Force here at West Point as well. Saturday, Beth and I have a number of shops to hit and Sunday we have some friends coming over for a lasagna dinner. This afternoon starting at 1540 (3:40 pm), the Steelers will be taking on the Ravens in Pittsburgh. Should be a good game and I'll be rooting for Baltimore to give the Steelers their first loos of the season. Anyway, enjoy all and remember to be safe out there....... :chr

Good morning all, the coffee is on as usual and it's back to work Monday. We had a great weekend overall, our Saturday lasagna party was a big hit (everyone loved it with plenty of leftovers); yesterday we went to Best Buy shopping for a new iPad for Beth as the one she has is older and needs to be replaced. Afterwards, we headed up to New Paltz for some Christmas shopping. Later on, we had a couple of beers at Craft Draft in Newburgh and then had dinner at our friend's new BBQ place (Handsome Devil BBQ):

Good morning all, the espresso coffee is on and it's still snowing on the breezy Thursday morning. So far, we have a good foot of snow and NOAA said we should get a couple of more inches before it stops. I'm working from home this morning, have a 0900 tel-conference and then I'll fire up the snow blower and clean things up. Hopefully the roads aren't to bad as we are still planning on going to Schlesinger's Hudson Valley Cigars this evening as long as Neil opens the doors. Today will be a busy one on West Point as the Air Force arrives and gets unloaded for tomorrow's Army vs. Air Force football game which will determine who wins the Commander-in-Chief's trophy this year. Good morning all, the espresso coffee is on as it's going to be another long day in the EOC. I'm heading to West Point shortly and we go live at 0900 (9 am) and will be there at least 2 hours after the game is over. It's definitely going to be a cold one as it's currently 5°F with a wind chill of -6°F. Kick off is at 1500 (3 pm) and NOAA is predicting it to be 35°F with a Wind Chill of 31°F. A huge congrats to the Army football team as they scored with one minute left in the game to beat Air Force 10 - 7 and capture the Commander-in-Chief's trophy this year. I'll be kinda of busy this morning catching up on emails at work and closing out files for the year. The Army football team flies to Memphis, TN today to play in the Liberty Bowl against the Mountaineers of WVU which will be played tomorrow at 1600 (4 pm) on ESPN. This evening, we're heading over to Schlesinger's Hudson Valley Cigars to enjoy a couple of primo stogies and all. Unfortunately, Army came up short in the Liberty Bowl against WVU. The Cadets are off for at least another week as they'll start coming back in cohorts of 400 a day (all will get tested for COVID) and the last group arrive back here on the 18th. Good morning all, the coffee is on as always and it's back to work Monday already. We had a good time at the new cigar shop (Aroma Cigar Room) this past Saturday, a number of us showed up to enjoy. Nice place and all and the owners are very hospitable. Yesterday, a couple of ole' friends (Bayamos and our friend Harry) and stopped by Schlesinger's from Troy, NY. I stopped over and smoked a stogie with them to catch and all. Beth and I watched some NFL throughout the weekend and there were some upsets. Four to five hundred Cadets are returning daily from their winter break with all 4000+ being COVID-19 tested prior to going back to the dorm rooms. The entire Corps should be back by this weekend, online classes for two weeks and then in-classes start the beginning of February. Before we know it, graduation will be upon us and all.
