Heisey has more walks than Stubbs has hits in their last 10 games repsectively. Does Dusty not get a copy of the stat sheet? Dustrating.

indeed I was....technology, I was texted a photo of us seconds after it happened, and a friend also posted a video on facebook within minutes.

too bad it was miserably hot & muggy, Arroyo pitched an awesome 4 run first inning....and news surface of Votto being out 3-4 weeks! (hence the frowned look on my face)

The weakest division in baseball does help a lot :D

Starscream 07-24-2012 01:08 PM

Re: Red's Fans Check in

I don't think that's quite the case this year. The bottom two in the division really have stunk it up, but the top three are quite decent teams who have won a lot of games outside their division. Sure, playing the Asstros and Cubs more than others helps pad our wins a bit, but the top three are all competitive this year.

One could argue, that the entire division is down, thusly appearing to be 'more competitive'. The Cardinals are definitely a weaker team than last year and the Brewers are barely remaining competitive. The Pirates seem to be the anamoly. I am not sure the Reds are any better than last season, with the exception of their pitching, because their bats are certainly not dominating like 2 years ago. :2

The Brewers have been replaced by the Buccos, and StL was weak last year too. It wasn't til late in the season and a little luck that got them that championship. Last year the Central took the Wild Card, and if this year was in the same format as last, then it looks like the Central would have it again.

The Central is the only six division team in baseball, and it always has at least two horrible teams. That's still not enough of an excuse to call it the weakest division in baseball. The division has put up a fight the last few years. We're still not the AL East or NL East, but I'd put us above the AL West and AL Central, and possibly the NL West too.

No way, Stubbs just upped his trade value :tu

And last night showed how CoCo was absolutely crap and Chapman can be a closer. Everything appears that the Reds still want him back in the rotation next season. Not sure why, but the Reds make some stellar personel decisions.
