Us lifetime members got the 1st shot at them. Now that is finished and they will be selling some. See Goatboy's post on this page for more info: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.htm...=996698&page=4 Hope this helps :tu

Hey Christos! I just found this thread. Wish I found it earlier. Anyway, I've shot that HK .45c before. It's good for a compact. Just more difficult to be accurate as the full size. Obviously that's goes for most compacts but if you needed a compact in a .45 then I suggest it. I LOVE the HK .45.

My Valentine's day present from the wife. Never been much on Taurus, but I just couldn't resist this little thing. 709 Slim, single stack 9mm. Great carry gun.

It is very comfortable both IWB and in a pancake.

So far, I love it. Now I just need 300 rounds through it so I'll have confidence in it.

Edit,

Just got a little misty putting my trusty 92FS in the safe.....

Daddy want... a Bullpup poodle shooter that accepts M-16 mags. Looks like a prop from a Sci-Fi movie.

at 2200 bucks... maybe not. Yet....

Not my first, by any means, but one I've kinda been looking for. Just picked up a S&W model 19. .357 Magnum. Stainless steel, 3 inch barrel. New old stock. New in original box. Never fired. Never opened. Never even had cylinder spun. No spin ring on cylinder.

Haven't decided if I'll open, load and shoot it, or leave it in new condition. I've been watching for a .357 revolver for a while as a shooter, so I'm kinda leaning towards using the gun.

That Taurus slim is nice. I have the mil Pro 9mm and I love mine. It shoots great and I have not had a FTF yet (2500 Rounds). I just wish it had a rail to mount a light/laser.

Too bad they don't have a Crimson Trace Laser Grip for it.

Oh yeah, everytime they do the instant background check, I just am so happy I wasn't old enough to buy guns back in the day when you had to wait days for the background check.

Elderboy,
That is an AWESOME lower. I'm a team member for several years on ARFCOM but just made my way over to this forum.

But I know posts can be worthless without pics, so allow me to produce a little ATF pic I took tonight :D:

Re: First Firearm Thread.

Im thinking up picking up a Spikes .22 conversion for my AR but I have also looked at the CMMG and Ciener. Ive heard good things about all three but what would you guys go with for quality? Im just using this for plinking/ground hogs and such.

Is a conversion kit really less accurate than a dedicated .22 rifle cause .22 is a hair smaller than the .223 barrel?

My second option is to pick up a S&W M&P 15-22. The Spikes is around $200 and comes with 2 15 round mags (I hate NJ). The 15-22 is around $500 I believe.

I saw a ad in a gun mag about the sight lasers now....a standard dove tail would work. I was going to look into this.....the pics do not look bad....
