Boswell Christmas cookie. Very nice aroma, could not keep pipe lit. Will try the "Bob" method of packing maņana.

I guess the newness of pipe smoking took hold yesterday, because I have smoked at least half an oz. of my B&M's most popular blend :r

Anyway, its called 24 karat, tastes like some sort of vanilla irish whiskey-ish flavor mixed with sweet tobacco, or at least it does when its not burning hot, but that's probably my fault.

Ya like it?

Had a bowl of AJ's Va/Per today. First bowl in a week, sore throat and sinus infection sidelined me from the Pipe...

It was good, I'm going to try it in a different pipe soon to make sure the odd flavors were from the new pipe.

I think I'm going to get another tin of it tomorrow along with some Samuel Gawith 1792 FLAKE and FVF

Good luck with that , most online retailers sold out within hours. I'm just going to wait for the bulk to come around again.

Re: Whats in your bowl?

Lil Solani #633 ( thx MJ ) in my Pete this morning. Solani makes a good va/per, it's a little on the lemon / grassy VA side but it has it's place. IMMO it's not worth stashing tons away in the cellar but maybe 2-3 tins on hand would be ideal.

Getting ready to stuff my face silly later.
