Here's my full bracket. Now I actually hope the Jets win (fat chance) or Chicago and Mini do well, but I have to go with the Habs to take it all. Just because of Mr Price. Goalies make and break these games. I would LOVE to see a Jets-Hawks Conference match-up.

Washington wins it all. Don't care how they get there as long as they do. :tu

I seem to agree with Joel and Neil's picks except I went with Vancouver. Just think the Flames might not have enough experience this time around, but should be a factor next year.

Hope I am wrong, I hate the Canucks! :lr

Nope, I was on the ice in my own playoff game, Derrek. Had a couple Guinness in the bar after the game, and didn't see your message until 1 AM. Saw the GWG on the big screen in the bar while lining up for a faceoff. Thanks for hanging with them. :D

Not surprised. Liked Berube as a player, but was surprised he got the job past interim.

I actually like the direction Hextall is going. Hopefully in a couple years it will come together......... I sound like a Cubs fan. :r :na

On another note, I've been watching tonight since the drop of the puck. Two games on, switching back and forth between them. 8 total goals and I've seen 2 of them!:c. I'm usually pretty good at this!

AdamJoshua 04-17-2015 06:56 PM

Re: NHL '14 - '15 Season Thread

Hmm I've seen 7 of them, must be a benefit of coming in 3rd. :D

Backstrom skates into 4 players, stick handles, shoots the buck while he's literally surrounded by Islanders that are backing up to protect against the pass and he puts it up under the crossbar .. dang!

Great call on that interference w/ Crawford, good to see them make the call.

Re: NHL '14 - '15 Season Thread

So far the playoffs have all been exciting games, back and forth scoring, close games a lot of big hits... the Caps had over 50 hits today, good games to showcase hockey to people that don't usually follow it. Well and for those of us that live it .. :r

Re: NHL '14 - '15 Season Thread

Jarrett Stoll popped for cocaine and MDMA in Vegas....apparently celebrating not making the playoffs....or drowning his sorrows?

PLEASE tell me he was busted with Rask!

He's an unrestricted free agent, I have a feeling he will be for a while.

Preds just scored again ... wow Keith should have swept that out a lot faster.

I've always liked Peter Laviolette since his Bruins days, glad to see him doing so well at the NHL level.

EAD, Adam. :lr

Hawks were down 2-0 to St Louis last year, then won 4 in a row. Down 3-1 to the Kings, forced an OT Game 7. The qiuestion obviously will be, Crawford or Darling on Sunday.

Maybe the Bruins can work out some type of Rask for Stoll deal. :)

Scott Darling in net for the Hawks tomorrow. I think Q is thinking who gives the Hawks the best chance to win Sunday, and that is likely Darling.

And Shea Weber out. He missed two periods last night, sure didn't hurt the Preds.

As bad as the Oil have been... Have to think McDavid is happier to be there, as opposed to Buffalo or Arizona, right? Just history/legacy...?

Hell, I'd take Phoenix over Buffao or Edmonton(never been to Edmonton) to live for a season, can live where you want offseason.

icehog3 04-19-2015 12:57 AM

Re: NHL '14 - '15 Season Thread

McDavid will have a shot at success in Edmonton sooner than he would have in Buffalo, that organization is an even bigger mess. And imagine if Toronto had won....the kid would have had to pull a Lindros. :r

Re: NHL '14 - '15 Season Thread

Maybe because I have no allegiance to either team or know history, but the chippy of the Vancouver/Calgary is growing tiresome to me. I don't mind an extra chip during play, but all this after the whistle crap is tired at best.
