Virtually every one of those Versus dudes were wetting their pants before the game, but I really liked Disco Dan's take during the pre-game interview. He was low-key and under-stating the situation. He let Crosby do the talking on the ice.

1 goal and 2 assists about half way through the game. He looks VERY winded though, but who wouldn't be?

Nine straight, what a game in Montreal!
Thomas was the difference pitching a shutout. :D

Good Game by the B's in Montreal last Night.

Nine in a row and atop of the Northeast
I know it's early in the season but it was a tough start.

on another note, Good to see Crosby back in the NHL and doing well in his first game in 11 months.
I think the NHL needs his presence. :2

Nice night for Crosby....

I hope he can stay healthy. Regardless of my like/dislike for an athlete, it would be terrible to see someone so young(24) and talented, have a career ended due to injury.

As a side note, can anyone think of an MVP like player in a league, lose his career to injury, at such a young age. Gayle Sayers comes to mind, he had like 4-5 years.

Or not. They scored 6 tonight. This team will win a cup in the next 5 years.

Bo Jackson. Allstar in baseball and football. He was an amazing athlete. His hip injury ended his football career and pretty much his baseball career. I to this day think he was one of the best athletes ever.

If they get a world class goalie who can stay healthy for a whole season, I agree with you.

Hawks outscored big time the last two games, and the Sharks in SJ tomorrow.....gulp.

I think the Hawks have a great chance. Hawks will play physical and the Sharks have played two extremely physical games against Dallas and Colorado. I thought they were going get beat by the Avs. The Sharks are scoring consistently though. I am guessing its going to be a good one.

Me too, Paul, it was looking good for the Hawks until recently, but every team has a couple of slides. Bruins are kicking some ass right now.

I will be watching, Mike, I would feel better about it if Seabrook skates...hoping for a great game either way.

Bo was a freak of nature for sure. His combine stats and 40 time are sick.

4.12 sec in 40 yard dash
6' 1" at about 210-220 lbs

Insane speed with power.

Hawks outplayed Sharks for pretty much the first 2 periods. The Sharks got the one goal. Third period I would give a slight nod to Sharks. Niemi was the reason the Sharks won no question. I think the Hawks should have won, but as they say sometimes the goalie steals the game.

Sharks take first in the pacific and second overall with two games inhand on Minnesota who has 2 points on the Sharks. The trade between these two teams has greatly benefited both clubs. Given Heatleys history I think in the end Sharks will benefit more. Like I said Tom its a marathon, but I think the Sharks could win the West

I was so frustrated I could have spit last night, Mike. Redirected goal off Toews' stick, all those chances for the Hawks, but Niemi (and Crawford) were great. Probably a great game but by the end I was too peeved to enjoy it.

Sharks speed looks great once again, and I do like Burns on D.

Good comeback win for the Hawks, down 4-2 in the 3rd they score 4 straight. Now they need to win in L.A. tomorrow to make it a .500 Circus Trip.

Well selected use of their time out by Claude to get the team back on track.

Past 2 games Wings have looked damn good. Outskated Nashville last night even though we were on a back2back.

The Boston game I think the Wings should have lost. In the first period we had a ton of turnovers in our own zone. Jimmy Howard played a great game and saved us to get a Shootout win.

Turnovers in our own zone will be a huge problem all season. Our defense just looks lost in our own zone. Lots of talk about making a trade with the cap space we have, but all the talk is about getting a top 6 forward.

Enjoy the win you guys played a wonderful game against the Bruins and got the shoot out win after an absolutely even game by better performance against Tukka Rask who has been playing very well for us. Enjoy the win, you guys deserved it!:tu

Not a single regulation loss for the Bruins in November. So much for the "Stanley Cup Hangover". :r

Made the trip out to see the Hawks take on Phoenix on Tuesday.

Pretty uninspired performance from the home side. Hawks seemed pretty sloppy in their Dzone and the Coyotes did a really good job shutting things down once they got the lead. Hawks didn't get much going and the crowd never really got into the game, which really takes away from things in that size of building.

It took me awhile to adjust to watching live hockey again even thought I have likely watched 50+ games so far this year, they have all been from the perspective of a coaches cam (Asides from what I've watched on TV) Definitely a different game when you watch it from that kind of angle.

I did have a pretty stellar seat though, got to sit in with all the brass in their suite right at center ice. Not sure if there is a better seat in the building, quite surreal.

Prepping for my first three in three over the weekend...going to need a good stick on Sunday when we get back from Peoria to unwind, hopefully after a few "W"s.

Nice to see the top line kick in they have been very quiet.
First goal in 9 and 10 games for Lucic and Krejci now just waiting for Horton to get going :D

First game after a long road trip is always dangerous for the home team....Hawks just looked tired to me. Sorry you saw such a stinker, Matt.

Wings have looked really good of late. As a Sharks fan it hurts to say that. May actually have the boy wear 96 next year given his style of play. He can skate though and has good hands, but he loves to camp the net.

Sharks have not looked good lately. Hoping for a win tonight.

Yes! 96 would look good on him :)

Yea they have been looking good lately. I'm still not sold on them at all. Too weak on D. At this point I wouldn't expect them to get past the 2nd round of the playoffs. I would like for us to trade Zetterburg and get a good young player and draft picks. Although Datsuyk still amazes me even at 33 years old. The guy ninja's the puck away from everyone.

I think the Wings should trade a pick or two for a good D-man. They have the cap room. I doubt they trad Z, regardless of age. They see him as the next man in line for the C.

BTW Mike even when simply posted on a web forum, I can feel the pain in your words. :D If your son plays at the front of the net, I can't think of a better number for him to wear. Homer is the best at his role but, is obviously limited in his other skills.

Sharks win a shootout. Still not a big fan of the shootout, but I will say as a result of them it has increased kids desire to be able to dangle. Micah can pull a spinorama already and I know watching shootouts has sparked interest. In that vein I think it has been positive in some ways, guys have shown great creativity and puck skills.

The song is classic called dangle snipe and celly if you have not.heard it.

Yeah not sure on 96. He does love to camp out front when not with the puck.

As an Isles fan I must say I am happy with thier performance on this road trip and particularly Big Al. The pipes were like a second goaltender for crawford. great overall game. "bout time the Isles showed some consistant paly and energy. looking forward to tonights tilt in dallas.

Hawks did well to steal a point tonight after falling behind 3-0. Emery did a nice job in relief of Crawford, at least until the shootout.

Hawks still need to start better and not keep coming from behind for points.
