Man I was pissed.

Then, to make things worse, the Red Sox made the playoffs.

Those are pretty solid picks. I'm not sure i'd agree about the rookie of the year awards, but otherwise my list would be about the same.

OK, I'll start it.

Did you hear about what David Ortiz said? He's gone 0-7 in these first two games against the Yankees, and the Boston press is pressing him about his declining skills. What was Big Poopi-Mouth's response?

"(Expletive) happens. Then you guys talk (X). Two (X) games already. You (Xs) going crazy. What's up with that, man? There's 160 games left. Ain't that a (X)."

Well, he's right. But those Xin' Xs might be too. Big Papi's toast.

Too bad the Yankees blew the lead in the other game.

Kinda early, but I think the Red Sox will be owned this year.

I love it.

Too early for a wager?

I'll give 2 to 1 odds on a 5er that says the Yankees win the AL East this season.

Garcia is surprising alot of folks. I wish the Cards could get the offense going. Wainwright is a stud. They needed his performance Sunday after burning the bullpen in that marathon. How about Yadier catching all 20 innings Saturday and 9 more Sunday. My knees hurt thinking about that.

Don't the Red Sox look like crap?? I know with Elsbury and Cameron hurt, that doesn't help. But the pitching looks suspect and damn if the Rays aren't looking good in the AL East.

Both the Red Sox and White Sox look like crap right now. But nobody looks worse than Baltimore :r

The white sox suck. Ozzie didn't think we needed left handed power bats, or any big power bats at all this year, nice move:sad
And they looked so good going into the year. Yes, fans have hit the panic mode.

Red Sox Mike Cameron has an abdominal tear. Possibly surgery and could be out 4-6 weeks minimum.

I think the White Sox are second worst in baseball right now. I have no doubt the Mets will over take them eventually. I'm surprised at Baltimore, thought they were pretty well improved.

Good game for the Yanks last night. Hughes flirted with a no no for a bit in what turned out to be a great start. Good sign there :tu

And the Nats won too! I caught the end to that game, very exciting finish :banger

Re: *2010 MLB Thread*

Nats look good...but way too early to tell if that young pitching is gonna hold up. And Zimmermans hammie may be an issue.

I'm sure they will pick it up soon.

In other news, the Pittsburgh Pirates took the worst loss in their 124 year history, losing to the Brewers 20-1. I was watching some of the game, it was just a beat down :bh

Re: *2010 MLB Thread*

Yankees lost to the A's, and A-Rod p!$$ed off some crap no-name Oakland pitcher (who's old enough to shave, but obviously cannot handle that simple task :D ) by cutting across "his" mound. In the next inning, A-Rod starts the Bombers' first triple play since June 3, 1968, when it was the Bombers, and The Mick was on the back end of it, not Texiera.

Go Cards!!! Have won all 5 series to start the season(knock on wood). I know the rotation can't maintain this pace, but the offense can't stay in this hole either. Dare I dream of another 100 win season(knock on wood)? Lincecum will be a good test tonight.

I'm just as interested in how Garcia does against the Giant lineup. Wonder if he is for real. Expecting a pitching duel ... probably end up 10 to 9.

If amazing means pitching to the opposite team so they hit.
