Re: New Car Pics Thread
I just picked up some new scratches for my 2010 Traverse.
A couple O2 sensors last summer. I got a new air mattress for the back on sale this fall. I take it camping ala dirty woman. We can watch dvd's in the back. It's swank. A little gamey smelling, but it's an extension of disgusting self, so you'll have that. Just imagine a picture of a car that looks like a big, white, gas company school bus. |

Very cool!

Re: New Car Pics Thread
Beautiful! Just curious, did you cross shop the Panamera when looking at the Rapide?

I considered a Ferrari California and Aston Martin DB9/Virage. I need a useful back seat which lacks in DB9. The Rapide is a great balance between a regular car and sports car. Really has dual personalities. Once sport and adaptive dampening is turned on, it's a real performer around corners and the engine sounds awesome. Better steering feel than most full sports car I have driven (outside of other British sports cars). Haven't driven a modern German car that has the same tactile and quick steering response. Got 11 mpg on the hwy! I think I could get a little better mileage if tried. |
Re: New Car Pics Thread
We're thinking of upgrading soon and I've really been eyeing the Panamera, even though the looks take some getting used to. We love our Volvo, especially with the awd and V8, but it's about time to retire it I think. Would love to consider a Rapide, but I think finding a good pre-owned one may be difficult on our budget and the lack of support for servicing around us would be a big issue as well.

What is your locale? How far or close is the nearest Aston dealer? I bought the Rapide from a CA and had it shipped to MA. It was a one owner from Beverly Hills. I waited over 6 months for the local dealer to find a Rapide and none ever came around. Once I bought the Rapide, a month or so later they get one on trade in... Figures. I would much prefer to buy local, but that can't be assured. There are two dealers in New England, and the one I use only have 50 Rapide's in their system. The car has been for sale 8 years; so it is pretty rare. Several of my car friends have never seen one in person. |
Re: New Car Pics Thread
We drove an S90 a while back and it really didn't suit us. Our S80 has the V8 and sports package which makes it fairly sporty for what it is, and the V8 sounds fantastic lol. We've driven a recent 7 series which we didn't like at all and I just drove an E60 M5 couple weeks ago. The M5 seemed to fit us better but I hated the SMG tranny and my Wife refuses to drive a manual......sigh. I guess we'll keep checking out other cars at our leisure and if nothing really comes up, we're ok with that. We really do like our Volvo and the lack of a car payment is really nice.
As for Aston, I really don't know where the nearest dealer is offhand. We live about 2 hrs South of St.Louis which isn't really close to anything. |
Re: New Car Pics Thread
A Bentley Mulsanne would be nice. A buddy has one and likes it. Are there any indy repair places near you that could work on an Aston?
