Re: Building a man cave
oO, just found this thread. Very nice job Ferdinand. I've seen lacquered tabletops and cork boards filled with bands, but never seen a glass window/wall full of them, nice! *files away in list of mancave ideas*
The Rocky Patel Socialism cigar art made me lol a little. Quote:
With that said, I'll tell you what I've done in the past. You're right, winter can be hell for cigar smokers sometimes. Often the easiest option is to smoke at local cigar lounges and cigar shops, IF you have them. Lots of areas still don't. For smoking at home, I've been down that road in the winter. Few years back, I was in the process of selling my house, so smoking in the house was not an option. I smoked out in the uninsulated barn! There was a small 8' x 14' roofed tack room in the barn that, while uninsulated, had power and was sealed off from the draft and wind. What I found worked well was to have a pair of "smoking gloves" that kept my hands warm enough. Plugged in a space heater and put on an extra sweater. Laptop+Wifi and I was good to go. Usually preferred movies, because it was usually too cold to take gloves off to type comfortably for long periods of time. The key was to get out of the wind. A space heater close to you can work wonders, provided there's ZERO draft. I also switched to mostly pipes for one winter about 5 years back. The smoke is much lighter, and I could smoke inside one room in my apartment (with the door closed) without contaminating the rest of the apartment. But pipes can be tricky, finicky beasts for a new smoker (I'm still a newbie when it comes to pipes, though I still enjoy them immensely) |
Re: Building a man cave
when you come over Francis, you'll see the wall with your own eyes because we will be smoking cigars here!
