Lisa and I have been talking, and it looks like we'll be getting married before the end of the year. My best buddy who is a preacher will be doing the ceremony. Likely on the beach in North Carolina.
We'll drive down, get hitched, hang around a bit, and get back up here.
I have no clue how we'll work it out, but that's why she's the brains of this operation. :D
All the prayers you can muster would be a huge blessing to us right now.
If God is with us, who can be against us? :)

Tomorrow we go get our marriage license.
We were gonna just get it in NC, but I thought it'd be a lot better to have it in hand when we get down there.
So far, almost married life has been awesome. It's not gonna last long, so I'm trying to enjoy it. :)

We've had to wait to get a date out of my buddy who's coming up for the wedding. He's a preacher and he's going to marry us, and he's a bit loosey goosey. He just finally got his plane tickets last night, so we were able to set a date today.
I gotta admit I'm pretty excited about the whole thing. :)

No, we're gonna do the wedding up here now. UB, my buddy who's marrying us, wanted to come up here (from NC) with his wife. They're going to come stay with us for a week or so.
Our "getting married" date moved from New Year's day to January 3rd, just because of everyone's schedules. That's subject to change as well.
It isn't all completely fleshed out yet, but I'm sure it'll come together just fine. :)

We finally got our marriage license today. :)
I'd say I'm starting to get nervous, but I'm not at all. I was nervous six or eight months ago, and a little bit a couple months ago when we got real serious. The only reason I mention it is cause I thought I would be. So far, so good. :tu
