McNeills Pullmans Porter.

Based on the bottle I think this guy makes it in his basement, but it's great.

Founders Nemesis. Kinda hot and sweet, but I liked it and think (hope ) they will only get better with age.

From what I heard barley wines do age well, I haven't tried yet. I picked up a 4 pack the other day but yet to have one.

the one bomber I grabbed wasn't remotely enough to get me this fall, hell of a beer there.

Racer 5 IPA tonight though, really like this beer.

BrewDog Paradox Macallan - Imperial stout aged in scotch whiskey barrels MMMM does it get any better? Delicious but $12 a bottle.....a little brutal.

Brewdog Paradox Glen Grant - Another nice imperial stout and another $12.

That's what I'm figuring, that it will age well based on the style and ABV. It wasn't bad by any stretch, just thinking maybe I shouldn't have picked up 4 4-packs without trying one first. :hm

Good BUT....Spaten Oktoberfest is the first O'fest ever. Good stuff.

I am not really a big fan of Oc(k)toberfest beers though.

Yep, very true. Barley wines are one of my favorite styles. I have 4 years worth of Sierra Nevada Bigfoot 'cataloged'. Every year, I add 1 pack and drink 1 or 2 of each year. I am starting this process with Great Divide Old Ruffian and Real Ale Sisyphus.

I never thought I would say this, but I like that Private Reserve Budwiser. It is not your regular Bud. Now if I could only find more.

Lagunitas little sumpin sumpin right now. Great stuff. If you have had Little Sumpin extra pale, this is the big brother. Very citruisy, sweet and kinda malty for a pale. Maybe because it is a wheat beer. Strange brew, but I love it.

Kicked off beer week here in Denver w/ The Bruery's Coton 2010 Anniversary Ale
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4091/...c48bafd093.jpg

Excellent but expensive beer. Tastes something like a Burton Baton crossed with a Raison D'etre...well maybe not really. It was very dark, caramel sweet, dried fruit...I found the booze (14.5%abv) to be well incorporated into the beer, no need for any additional aging IMO...I am glad I opened it to share amongst friends.

Goose Island Tap Migration tonight at the iTap in Chesterfield near work!

Tonight will be Goose Island Pepe Nero, Bourbon County, Bourbon County Coffee, and Bourbon County Vanilla.

I'll probably also have a Sofie and Matilda in between the Bourbon Counties.

Heck, I might also do an Old Raspy or two since they have it on draft too!

Had my first CohiBrew DIPA from Castle Hollow Brewery ;) last night.

Very true to the style, 8.4% ABV, fruity malt with some nice hop complexity, dry finish, might need more time in the bottle. Good thing I have about a case of it!

Picked up a 6 pack of Summit's Belgian Style Golden Ale. I like this, but wish it were a little bit more carbonated. Great value for $8 per 6'er though. I'm on my second one, and I think that will be as much as I need for tonight. Picked up 2 bombers of Pumking too. :tu

Just opened the last beer in my SA Harvest pack...an Irish Red, not a bad beer but I am wishing it was any of the others in there. I think an Old Rasputin is next, or maybe something more celebratory if the Rockies can mount a comeback.

Pumking

It was good but 22oz is too much of this...so I mixed the last half with a FBS and found a good drink.

:hm Might have to try that. Reminds me of an article I read recently where bartenders are becoming creative with beer, blending microbrews and even using them to sub for liquor in cocktails.
