Good morning everyone, the coffee is on as always and it's Friday! We had a good time last night at Schlesinger's, saw a lot of friends that haven't stopped in for a while. The Yankees game got rained out, hopefully tonight's game will be okay. Tomorrow, Beth and I are heading down to New Brunswick, NJ for the annual Hungarian Festival which we always wanted to attend. Should be a great time as long as the weather holds out. The NASCAR drivers are in the Poconos this weekend and same the same goes for them, praying to the weather gods to let the races go on. I hope all of you have a relaxing weekend as well and enjoy........ :D

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's back to work Monday already. Beth and I had a great weekend, got to spend it with Jeremy at the Hungarian festival and then we headed over to the Protocol Cigar 4th Anniversary party in Clinton, NJ. We finally had a great weather weekend, the Yankees took 2 out of 3 from the Red Sox and Kyle Busch to the checkered flag in yesterday's NASCAR race at the Pocono Raceway. Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Friday! We had a rough day at West Point yesterday with a LMTV (cargo truck) carrying 20 cadets to a land navigation course rollover. Unfortunately, one of the cadets passed away and a number of others are banged up pretty bad. Prayers go out to the families of the deceased young man also to the ones recovering from the injuries. I hope everyone has a relaxing weekend and takes a minute and thanks the lord for all we have...... :usa

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's back to work Monday. We had a great day yesterday, weather was great and all. Congrats to the Yankees as they won it in the 10th inning. They'll be taking on the Mets today at home in the Bronk, always a great day to watch the two NY teams playing each other. The NASCAR race in Michigan got postponed until today at 1700 (5 pm) as a result of rain, hopefully they get it in today. Enjoy the week everyone, smoke a favorite or two throughout it....... :)

Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0420 and it's already "Hump Day". Well, the Yankees split a double header with the Mets taking the first game and winning 12 - 5 and losing the 2nd 10 - 4. They'll be off today and traveling to take on the White Sox tomorrow evening in Chicago. This afternoon, a few of us are meeting up at the Newburgh Brewery to prepare for this year's Quad State Herf and enjoy a few cold ones as well. Beth and I will be heading down to the Aston/Philadelphia, PA area early tomorrow morning to celebrate out grand daughter Eva's 2nd birthday. It's always great to spend time with Jeremy, Christen and Eva along with family and friends. Beth and I had a great time down in the Philly area spending time with the family celebrating Eva's 2nd birthday. We got to walk around the Italian Market area and take it all in. The NASCAR drivers are in Chicago, IL this weekend and as stated yesterday, the Yankees will be in London, England taking on the Red Sox. That's a good question about the game times. Well, the final number of new Cadets that arrived here at West Point yesterday was 1207 of which 4 have been been released for various reasons and another 4 have been sent to the Prep School (which is on West Point property) for a year because of academics. That was as of 1500 (3 pm) yesterday, I'm sure a couple of more will resign before the week is up. Happy Independence Day all. The coffee was on early this morning as I was at the Cornwall Fire House at 0700 for the 4th of July breakfast and then over to help the Cornwall 4th of July Committee set up for today festivities. Heading back over that way later on this afternoon to assist with the parade line up and then to a brother-in-laws for a BBQ and a couple of cold ones. Fireworks this evening over Rings Pond and then back to work in the morning. Congrats to the Yankees for winning last night and hopefully they do it again this evening against Tampa Bay. Another great weekend in the books, spent Saturday with a number of cigar buddies at a friend's house celebrating his son's 30th birthday. Yesterday, Beth and I found a new brewery to us down in New City, NY (District 96 Beer Factory) which was very good. Then we took in a Rockland Boulders Baseball game and ended the evening in town listening to some classic rock down at Rings Pond. The Yankees split their 4 game series with Tampa and a rookie (Justin Haley) took the checkered flag in yesterday's rain shortened NASCAR race that postponed from the night before because of rain.
