Picked up a 12 pack of Yuengling Light today. What a disappointment. I guess I was just hoping for just Yuengling...not gonna happen obviously.

IMO Yuengling Light is a sever drop off from the original.

As for me, I'm currently sippin' on a Brooklyn Local 1. Has a little Yankee aftertaste but i like it :tu

Light beer isn't beer, it's just light. You'll always be disappointed.

Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary - Imperial Helles Bock *the 2nd one released*. This ones 8.3%, The 3rd is 10.2%. First was 9.5%

This ones the worst of the 3 by far but still not a bad brew by any means. The first was easily the best because it was an Imperial Stout.

This makes all 3 of the ones out I've tried they are all great brews. Sierra Nevada finally got some good beer.

What do you think of the raison beers? Only few dogfish head beers I haven't tried that are available to me.

Last night I thoroughly enjoyed these:

The Weyerbacher was from last season. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized I had one left! The higher alcohol content helped keep the beer tasting just fine. :tu

This thread makes me THIRSTY.

Looks like I'll have to stop by the liquor store on the way home tonight. All I have left in the frig is some Keystone lights.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

The local beer shop had Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on sale for $10.99 per 12 pack. It's been a while since I've had one, but it's one of the main beers that helped me get interested in craft beers. At that price I couldn't pass it up, and I'm glad I didn't. It's really a very fine beer.

Bought a 4 pack of Flying Dog Double Dog Double Pale Ale yesterday. That beer is HOPPY. puckered up my face on the first drink lol. The 11.5% alcohol content makes it a sipper for sure.

Very cool! One of my friends home-brews, but does not cultivate his own hops.

A growler of Three Floyds Gumballhead. It's been over a year since I have had it, but honestly I think some of my hopped up wheat beers are better (not all, still tweaking recipes). Don't get me wrong, I loove Gumballhead, but after having it again I was impressed by myself, haha. I think I'm too hard on my homebrews most of the time. I am a perfectionist. But this kinda put things into perspective.

Lefthand Oktoberfest....it's got plenty of that caramel many say is missing from SA's Octoberfest this year. Maybe too much. Good beer nonetheless.

I bought a mixed 6'er to try some new beers. Drank a Deschutes Twilight Summer Ale earlier. Nice, but not memorable. Drinking a Lift Bridge Farm Girl Saison now. It's not up to par with a true Belgian saison, but this would be very nice for a summer barbeque with friends. I can see myself buying more of this.

Last night SN 30th Annie Black Barleywine. To say I enjoyed it would be an overstatement, they should be embarrassed Other than to say it was
Overhopped (surprise surprise), it was
Completely unnoteworthy. Hey SN news

I'm with you Vic...do you foresee the hops mellowing out after a year in the cellar? I've got one lone bottle from when I was in SF, when the weather gets cold it's gonna be hard to stay off it.

Maybe,'but I'm not sure what would be left if they did All I got out of this beer was hoppy bitterness and a little underlying sweetness, there was absolutely no complexity at all! I think age going to make
This beer worse, not better
