Re: Photography Thread
I am going to list this in the BST later, but thought I would put it here first as it is a bit of a specialized item.
While cleaning out the back office/bedroom/storage warehouse this weekend, I found my old Domke Photo Journalist's vest. It is the older style, in barely used condition. I think I only used it a handful of times at best. These are webshots of a similar vest, if anyone is interested PM me and I will get pictures of the actual vest and send them. http://oldchurchbbq.com/sharedpictur...0-%20Front.jpghttp://oldchurchbbq.com/sharedpictur...20-%20Back.jpg If interested, make me an offer. This is something that I found on my computer. It was likely a point and shoot shot with my Panasonic camera. I was approaching Detroit Metro Airport

Anyone here still mess with film photography? Do they still do that anymore lol? I kinda miss my old slr's, getting film developed, and having actual photographs to peruse.

Re: Photography Thread
I think that Emopunker does........unless he bagged it after a few rolls.
My old lady, sittin on some rocks....shot with my long lost D50 that had the tight power switch...the best $50 camera I ever got. On the front of that D200 is a Nikkor 135mm 3.5 AI lens http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6348e273.jpg |

Sister's dog window surfing the Blue Ridge Mountains last week...Nikon D50 w/ 50mm f/1.8 AF-D.
Since I was zone focusing and in manual focus, and not looking through the VF, I should have used a higher F-stop. This did not autofocus on the dog's nose, it just seems that way. I just stuck the camera out the window backwards and fired away. Many shots taken, few worked out. http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...ps01d26a97.jpg |

Yeah man, and that's how it works sometimes. I know it all too well, since I make the same mistakes that you do, and I'm sure everyone does! Still a nice shot though |

Mickey Thomas and Stephanie singing "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" It was like I was time tripping back to high school or something. I thought they would be kinda lame, but they put on a surprisingly good show. Lots of energy, and they seemed like that they really loved performing for Arts Beats & Eats Festival

Re: Photography Thread
When reading some info to make sure that this girl was not Grace Slick's daughter or someone,
i read something I never knew. One of my top 5 favorite songs of all time, by Elvin Bishop, "Fooled Around and Fell In Love" I always thought was sung by Elvin Bishop. I know my music to a certain extent, but I guess I never knew that Elvin Bishop was not a singer per se. No, that legendary song was sung by none other than Mickey Thomas. New info is always good. |

LOL!! They mentioned that in fact. And they did that song, too. I was lucky I guess, because supposedly people with good cameras were only supposed to shoot during the first three songs. Security didn't seem to care, but the band probably did because security started going after people with the more sophisticated cameras unless they had press credentials |
Re: Photography Thread
Priceless! I was over side stage snapping away when they noticed me. One of them yelled "Photo Op!" and this is what I got: (They're called Stone Clover, BTW. Irish kinda rock sound, and that girl rocked the fiddle.)

It's getting ridiculous- I was at a concert and they wouldn't even let any cell phones in lest ANY pix be taken!

THAT is one evil-a55-lookin CAT!
Is it's PAW gonna be curved like that forever, or is it just sitting in a littler box and trying to keep it clean? I am sure it will love you forever, now. |

Infrared-1417.jpg by Jeff Carroll01, on Flickr My daughters new kitten. My mother in law's cat (which is missing a back leg) had kittens and this is one of them. He was born without back paws. He can still get around pretty good. |

Re: Photography Thread
Something to consider: They do have kitty wheelchairs. He might adapt quite well to one being so young. My dog lost use of her hind legs and we got her one and she used it quite a bit. I doubt it would be too expensive, and worth talking to your vet about.
|
Re: Photography Thread
We thought about that also Hugh. The vet said since his back legs work, he would be just fine as long as he remains an indoor cat, which is the plan.

Putzin around with the 50mm trying to get a decent snap of our new pup while she was still. The nose is out of focus as the room was poorly lit.
