I am going to list this in the BST later, but thought I would put it here first as it is a bit of a specialized item.

While cleaning out the back office/bedroom/storage warehouse this weekend, I found my old Domke Photo Journalist's vest. It is the older style, in barely used condition. I think I only used it a handful of times at best.

These are webshots of a similar vest, if anyone is interested PM me and I will get pictures of the actual vest and send them.

If interested, make me an offer.

Sister's dog window surfing the Blue Ridge Mountains last week...Nikon D50 w/ 50mm f/1.8 AF-D.
Since I was zone focusing and in manual focus, and not looking through the VF, I should have used
a higher F-stop. This did not autofocus on the dog's nose, it just seems that way. I just stuck the
camera out the window backwards and fired away. Many shots taken, few worked out.

Yeah man, and that's how it works sometimes. I know it all too well, since I make the same mistakes that you do, and I'm sure everyone does! Still a nice shot though

Mickey Thomas and Stephanie singing "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" It was like I was time tripping back to high school or something. I thought they would be kinda lame, but they put on a surprisingly good show. Lots of energy, and they seemed like that they really loved performing for Arts Beats & Eats Festival

When reading some info to make sure that this girl was not Grace Slick's daughter or someone,
i read something I never knew. One of my top 5 favorite songs of all time, by Elvin Bishop, "Fooled Around and Fell In Love"
I always thought was sung by Elvin Bishop. I know my music to a certain extent, but I guess I never knew that Elvin
Bishop was not a singer per se. No, that legendary song was sung by none other than Mickey Thomas. New info is
always good.

LOL!! They mentioned that in fact. And they did that song, too. I was lucky I guess, because supposedly people with good cameras were only supposed to shoot during the first three songs. Security didn't seem to care, but the band probably did because security started going after people with the more sophisticated cameras unless they had press credentials

Priceless! I was over side stage snapping away when they noticed me. One of them yelled "Photo Op!" and this is what I got: (They're called Stone Clover, BTW. Irish kinda rock sound, and that girl rocked the fiddle.)

Something to consider: They do have kitty wheelchairs. He might adapt quite well to one being so young. My dog lost use of her hind legs and we got her one and she used it quite a bit. I doubt it would be too expensive, and worth talking to your vet about.

MrClean 09-10-2013 08:48 AM

Re: Photography Thread

We thought about that also Hugh. The vet said since his back legs work, he would be just fine as long as he remains an indoor cat, which is the plan.
