I agree!
Cooke Should've had his head taken off. Not from a cheap shot mind you but someone on the Ice Should've just have just punched him in the face, no questions. It doesn't matter that they are down a goal stick up for your team.:2

And another thing Cooke was saying he got hit the same way at center ice just before that. He is full of crap because if he did he would have been lying on the ice unconcious as well.

Bush league crap....and Cooke has a history. They are broaching the subject of hits to the head at the GM meetings today. I think Cooke should get the rest of the season for that one.

from the vid it doesn't look like the hardest of hits, but blows directly to the head don't need to be all that vicious to do damage, especially if hit in the right place. Was BS either way and I'm also surprised the bruins guys didn't go after cooke

Thanks Pops :tu Couldn't believe the Wings gave up in that 3rd period. They are just playing so inconsistent right now.

As I said before. Welcome to the salary cap era. This year was the year it finally hit the wings and they lost some key players. Do to the cap the extreme depth the wings used to have isn't there. I remember in years past the wings 3rd line was better than teams 1st line. Those days are gone. Welcome back to the pack.

I still don't agree with this statement. They still have great depth, but they haven't been healthy and they aren't playing well together right now. They need to get their heads into the full 60 minutes of a game and then you'll realize, salary cap or no salary cap Red Wings are still a very good team.

The Wings will be a dangerous team come playoff time, and I would bet a paycheck they make the playoffs. Hope they get the Sharks and not the Hawks in the first round, and if the Hawks do catch them, they better play Niemi and not that sieve Huet.

VERY DISAPPOINTED in the Avs last night..... Didn't see the empty netter, was so pissed off, I turned off the television...

Yeah, I would be very surprised to see the Wings out of the playoffs. It is pretty unusual to see them play so inconsistently, but I would definitely not want to go against them in the playoffs. And I would agree that I don't think the Wings problems this year are cap related. They did lose Hossa, but they have had a lot of injuries. However, their biggest problem is that Datsyuk and Zetterberg are not superhuman this year.

I am so looking forward to (hopefully) having a dog in the playoff fight this year. It has been WAAAAAAYYY too long. Go Kings!

Chris Chelios is headed back to the show. :wo :tu :D

The 48-year-old defenseman, a three-time Norris Trophy winner, has been called up by the Atlanta Thrashers, general manager Don Waddell told ESPN.com on Wednesday.

"Can't wait. Got to make the most out of this chance," Chelios said in a text message to ESPN.com.

Chelios had 22 points (5 goals, 17 assists) in 46 games with the AHL's Chicago Wolves this season. He signed an NHL deal with the Thrashers on March 2. The Wolves are Atlanta's primary AHL affiliate.

No suspension for Matt Cooke.I guess head shots are legal in the NHL for the rest of this year.
