Re: Whats in your bowl?
Little age never hurts? I just turned 60 not long ago. It hurts me in all sorts of places!

Re: Whats in your bowl?
Guess there is always an exception to every rule Bill.
Cracked a tin of Wilderness last night. I'm working through several McClelland blends currently. Same great taste and smell of Samovar and 3 Oaks but definitely sharper and spicier at first. Today I'll try either Smyrna #1 or Legends. |
Re: Whats in your bowl?
Granger in one of the big bowl meers. It was ok. Not impressed. We'll see how it is a month down the road...
|
Re: Whats in your bowl?
GL Pease Union Square in a cob. This is my third bowl from the tin and still not sure what to think of this straight virginia. Lots of nicotine for a straigh VA. No tongue bite. Not much hay or sweetness. I'll have to keep plugging away
:) |
Re: Whats in your bowl?
McClelland Legends last night. and a small bowl of Blue Mountain this morning in a cob. Both delicious.

Re: Whats in your bowl?

C&D Old College for the car ride into work.
Another one thats been getting some play time are Lancers Slices. Incredibly cheap for a nice VA/Lat mix for when you don't need something super complex. |
Re: Whats in your bowl?
Stokkebye Peaches and Cream in a large cob. Almost as good as Trout Stream.
|
Re: Whats in your bowl?

Re: Whats in your bowl?
Switched up the jar-in-the-car to Ashton Artisan Blend. I like this blend but am still getting to know it. Dry time is definitely required.
Hoping a box shows up today so I can enjoy an inaugural taste of And So To Bed. |
Re: Whats in your bowl?
Mac Barens SCottish Mixture. Again in a cob. My more expensive pipes are getting lonely!
|

Re: Whats in your bowl?
I dont find Luxurt bullesye to be all that mild at all. I find it to be more than mid strength and burns my throat almost every time. I figured it was just too fresh and needed age. It is put away for a few months now. It was very good but as I said too harsh for me new.

Re: Whats in your bowl?
Anniversary Kake in a Savinelli Alligator. Pretty pipes the alligators.
|
Re: Whats in your bowl?
Working through a tin of Ashton Artisans Blend. I was enjoying it at first but think I might be getting bored with the flavor. I have been keeping it in my car which could have an effect on the tobacco. Not bad by any stretch, just not going to go out of my way to get another tin. I might bring it in the house and try it in a different pipe tonight since I've been strictly using my MM hardwood "car pipe".

Re: Whats in your bowl?
Chatham manor in a cob.
|
Re: Whats in your bowl?
I've been smoking Dark Strong from Heinrichs lately. Good stuff, also picked up a tin of the Dark Strong Kentucky to check out.
|
Re: Whats in your bowl?

And So to Bed has been a steady go-to the past few days. Had some this morning on the drive to work in a MM hardwood. I really need to remember to bring out a different car pipe.

Re: Whats in your bowl?
Stokebyes Peaches & Cream. Smells good taste great! In a wooden MM cob. Great smoke even if 1000* hot!

Tsuge Raijin courtesy of Nutcracker. Wooo this is a spicy smoke. No skimping on the perique in this one. I do like it though it's too early to put down a solid review. I'm still getting to know this blend.

H&H Anniversary
|
Re: Whats in your bowl?
Today I had H&H Anniversary Kake that MarkinCA sent me in a sampler. My first bowl in my first new Cobb. I am impressed and I must say it's a great change from cigars. Pipes are definitely in my rotation now when I don't quite feel like a cigar.
