All the Great Divide beers, especially their Imperial Stouts, are outstanding.

Colorado Native Golden Lager. I typically don't care for big brewers (Coors in this instance) takes on craft brews, but I've been pleasantly surprised by every beer in the Colorado Native line-up,

Visited this place yesterday:
http://www.fairhopebrewing.com/

Pretty good beers all around if you're in the Gulf Shores area. Took 40 minutes to get there from the beach.

Lil' Poison brown ale and Judge Roy Bean coffee stout were the highlights.

Got out to Russian River last Thursday, couldn't decide what to try so we went with the "all of them" approach :al

A good buddy of mine came over this afternoon with a Joseph James 10th Anniversary Ale. An outstanding high gravity Ale. The chocolate, vanilla, and bourbon blend nicely together. I would recommend this one though, for more of a cool day or evening...

Went to lunch today and split a bomber of Griffin Claw BAPPA. It's a beechwood aged, pumpkin, peach ale. Direct middle finger directed at Bud. Was surprisingly good. Something I'd definitely drink again.

Had a 2010 Allagash Belgian Stout. What a difference a few years make. So smooth with the flavors not as brash as when it was new. The carbonation seemed finer with better lacing than I remember when first trying it (in 2010). Did not taste any part of the 7.5% alcohol either. Great beer

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?

Had a 2010 World Wide Stout a couple weeks back, it was fascinating, tasted very little like a fresh one, it was more of a subtle fruity taste similar to a barleywine. Didn't taste anything like its 18-20% ABV, didn't really taste any alcohol on it other than a little after taste. Very different from the syrupy texture of a fresh one. My roommate found it at a local beer store that was clearing out their cellar, he paid a premium on it but it was well worth it. I wish we had more

mosesbotbol 03-28-2016 09:35 AM

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?

I have 3-4 more Allagash's. Costco had them for cheap at the time. Also bought some Delirium and St. Bernardus at the same time. The Delirium need to go through cheese cloth. The St. Bernardus are too strong just for me. The Allagash can be drunk like a regular beer.
