FYI -

My user title was swtiched to "Alpha" and then what the mascot is over there. I switched it back to "Alpha Silveback" and it shows as
"Alpha **********".

Was there ever a doubt? Jon wasn't a member of ANY forum before the shopping spree....he didn't buy all those sites to foster the Brotherhood of the Leaf....he bought 'em to make money. That's not a slam on him, that is just one of the reasons I didn't want to be a part of the change.

This is home, and I couldn't be happier. :)

It is amazing to see it in retrospect.
So many got up in arms when the change was first announced.
So many said that was premature to act that way.
So many left.
So many swore they would stay, then left.
So many leaving now.

I guess one thing was for sure and that is things would eventually never be the same.
What once was is now gone.

Glad the team of 11 had the foresight to agree that was not the direction they wanted to go and did what they did.
A graceful adios without fanfare will probably be best, with an occasional, "here I am" once in a blue moon.

Yep. Long story short, when I asked to have my account deleted pds told me all my posts belonged to CS as per the user agreement (who reads those lol) and the best he could do was change my username.

I think that was the guy from NY... Rsumtin. Another "content provider" though so his posts shoiuld still be there. :D

Asked them to close and desticky the "Ask the Silverback" thread earlier. JC decided there was too much "good content" to not have it a sticky. :hm

If you use Firefox google -

flashblock extension

it installs itself and then the video will not play until you click play.

Yep. Adblock, flashblock, and no scripts are almost essential to have if you go over there lol.

I'm appreciative of what the mods created for us here and I'm happy to call this "home". Although I do miss Louie. I need some CA stickers.

I'm frankly glad the change finally happened. Now I can look at my CS stickers on my trackbike and at my CS hat with fond nostalgia. Shame it had to happen but major props to The 11 who brought us this place. Much appreciated.

Hoho! I typically use Firefox with Adblock and saw nothing in the way of ads. Dialed up IE on the main site and yikes! What an abomination, LOL.

i wonder how that joncaputo guy feels with all these people dropping?

He has to be diplomatic and sit there and just watch it happen. Sure he was prepared to face some sort/length of adversity.... but all these people are bashing him and for "his investments sake" he has to sit there and grit his teeth.

Guys, realize that i am not for or against it.. i havent been here/there long enough to have a valued opinion. Moreover, i'm sure i haven't seen the drama through separation like some brothers have... again, i haven't been here/there long

im simply pointing out the humor in the situation.

Food for thought:

Imagine if the people who "made things great" left... does the man behind the big doors know how to run a business without a dedicated team? Has he lost his staff? Can he carry those winning personalities?

Just sent a request to one of the Puff mods to cancel my membership. I thought it was gonna be a tough decision, but after checking out the site for a few it turned out to be pretty easy.
