Interesting thought about the hash marks being kills. I just figured they indicated the Governor had snapped.

Could be too. Keeping his daughter zombie around is a lot weird. No offense to my better half, but if she turns into a walker, I will finish her off, lol...

Another good episode...some points to ponder...

Michone might be on to something with the guts all over her
Was the phone really ringing?
Is Andrea really a whore?

Yeah, slut whore...

If you remember, Rick and Glenn pulled off blending in w/zombies by using guts in the first season. And I definitely think the phone calls were self-therapeutic.

And yeah, Andrea is a hoe-bag, but I wouldn't kick her outta bed -(P

My thoughts exactly Powers...

More so... Now Michone knows that secret... how is she going to use it to take down gov-town... :D

I'm ready for Michone to kill the governor and Andrea. The reunion of Darryl and his brother should be coming soon. That will be interesting considering how much Darryl has changed.

LoL yea I'm right there with you about Carol... :tu

I wonder if Merle will end up taking out Daryl... Or if Daryl will take out or Glen or abuse Maggie...

And can anyone tell me what the significance of hershells other daughter is to the group? Other then running away in the background or stiring a pot in the foreground she hasn't contributed much to this ride... I have been waiting for something to happen to her since the start of the season...

She does sing well I guess... LoL

Good episode. The Gubnor's going to be pissed when he finds out that Merle lied to him.

Great episode last night, was hoping with Andrea jumping over the wall and showing how it's done would bring her back to her kickass self, but no she got horny and goes for a Liam Neeson look alike....sigh

I was glad to see Carol back, did you see how upset Darryl was before he opened that door, he was expecting a zombie Carol and he had to get pumped up for it.

Great backstory on Darryl's mom and we got the truth out of Carol that he did in fact shoot Lori

The phone call was CREEPY man, the background noises....good stuff.

Imagine being Ricks shows and seeing Michonne standing there among the zombies....that was pretty awesome.

I knew Carol was alive.

No doubt in my mind that Darryl will be forced to put down his brother, Merle. That will be awesome.

The phone call was definitely creepy. I guess I would expect Rick to start to lose it at some point.

I just watched last night's episode. I was hoping the biters were going to get ol' Merle. But then I was hoping (and still am) that Daryl gets to put a crossbow bolt between his brother's eyes. Merle is a bad dude. He needs the BANSTICK!!!! And the governor! Scumbag alert! He needs killin!!!

If by next week, you mean December 2, that's correct. According to WetPaint Entertainment website:

Quote:

Season 3 has 16 (episodes), with the first eight finishing up on Sunday, December 2 with Episode 8, "Made to Suffer."

That's the midseason finale. Then we take a break for a couple of cold months, only to return in February 2013. An exact start date has yet to be released.
The episode title alone has cliffhanger written all over it!

Thought this was a very interesting episode. Michone is starting to show some of her bada$$edness that I thought we would see this season.
Merle had my kid alternating between liking him, and wanting to see him killed. Great character.
The Governor is really getting on my nerves, and Andrea is hot.

Re: Walking Dead Season 3

Wow... Guess I am the first one to write on tonight's episode... Meh...

Aside from Glenn showing he is a bad ass... and Maggie taking off her top... there wasn't much of a WOW factor in this last episode... I feel like they were simply using it to coast to the next episode when they finally assault Gov-Town, which we all saw coming...

Unfortunately I have to say I thought the Trailer for the "mid" season finale was more exciting then this entire episode... We saw from the brief clips that Andrea-the-hoe-bag will be siding with Gov-Town... But they also eluded to Daryl wanting to leave his brother unharmed, which I don't see as possible... We also saw the team being fired at from the Gov-Town wall, Casualties? Guess we will find out...

Also, I'd like to rant for a moment about the idea of a "mid season finale"... WHOEVER THOUGHT THIS UP DESERVES A SWIFT KICK IN THE SACK! 8 episodes and a break?... without going to another show? If they were to throw Breaking Bad's next half a season in between I would totally be OK with it... But to go right back into the same series just seems like they are wasting my time and not giving me anything to watch for 6 weeks, while risking me losing interest in their programming... :2

Rob, I agree with all your points. I hope team Rick kicks a$$ and bring the slim ball Gon to his knees.

The mid-season break is because of Christmas. Let's face it Zobies & Christmas just don't go together. I thinks it a T.V. thing...

Re: Walking Dead Season 3

I think this episode was a bit slow because they were setting up for the mid-season climax.

The one good thing about the 8-10 week break is that instead of getting 16 shows and then waiting 36 weeks for the next season, we only have to wait 26 weeks for the next season to start. Ok, small consolation, but I am trying to look for a silver lining.

Next week should be epic.

I was really hoping for Darryl to shoot all the "guards" with his crossbow and them to walk right in. Although I'm confused why they would try to sneak in through the front door. Not the brightest idea.

I'm ready to kill the governor. But what will happen to the town if they do kill him? Does everyone revolt or do they accept Rick as the new leader?

When the governor had Maggie take off her top I was really hoping Glenn was going to come busting through the door and killing him. Maggie needed to understand that they are both going to get killed so giving up the information was dumb.

I can't see the writers spending all of this time developing his character as such a slime-ball to simply have him killed off at the mid-season finale. I think they will more than likely draw out this attack for the 2nd half of the season.
Having said that, I think that this town is so wrapped up in the safety that the Governor has set up, that there is no way they embrace Rick. They walk around comfortably, without concern of attack from walkers, that any threat to that comfort would be met with anger.

I do hope you're right, and that the settle some things next week, but when have the writers done that for us????

Re: Walking Dead Season 3

Glenn has really shown his loyalty to the group and last night he went up a little higher in my book of fav characters.

In a sick twisted kind of way I was really rooting for the gov to rape Maggie, I was kinda let down that he didn't just because it seemed he chickened out to me.....I know it's wrong to think that way, but I was expecting more out of him and it was basically just an empty threat.

I kinda felt bad for Michonne when Rick and them locked her up, and Rick grabbing her wound and making her sit down, I understand why he did it, but still.

Anyone watch Talking Dead afterwards? Next weeks preview they showed :jd WOW!

I have a couple potential deal-breakers for me. I can suspend disbelief with the best of them, but...this first one isn't too bad: The Governor must either be stupid, or a coward. I can't believe he is a coward because he walked up in the middle of armed US military and blasted one of them point blank. So he's stupid. He is the leader of all these people yet he took Merle's word that the prison could not be cleared? No way I can believe that he could be such a capable leader and just dismiss the chance to plunder the supplies by taking on dead people instead of live ones.

And second, this one is hard for me to look past. Ricks group took riot gear to clear the prison, but they went off to battle with armed humans wearing only the clothes on their backs. I cannot accept that.

The Gov. won't die next episode, or the one after it. They'll keep things running for a bit. The attack will punch a hole in the cities defenses and probably expose the city to a walker attack. But ultimately the attack will be repulsed, probably someone will get captured or glen/maggie won't be rescued, something like that, so the interaction will continue. There are no real prominent characters in Woodbury other than Merle and The Gov., so if both of them die, the town storyline essentially dies as well, nothing left to see, move along...

Maggie not being raped was in keeping with the Gov.'s character. Vicious, but calculating and charming. He's not a base animal that would just rape someone for the fun of it, but he would not hesitate to do it to get what he wanted. It was clear to him that Maggie would do anything for Glen, but she would sacrifice her own body to keep her secret, so it made logical sense for him to abandon the rape play and just put the two of them in a room together.

At some point between now and the end of Season 3, Woodbury will be destroyed. It has to be. We can't see Rick's group "settling down" and enjoying themselves now, can we? that would be the end of the show! Although I do wonder how the hell they're going to raise that baby on their own. There simply isn't enough formula left in a 200m radius to sustain a baby for a year, someone needs to find a wetnurse. So far the baby has been downplayed, but at some point the issue will be raised.
