Having some right now from a batch that PARob whipped up a month or so back.

He was hooked after Doms shindig back in September.

Great stuff Mac

As has been stated many times over...Thanks Mac for posting this up. Made my first batch last night...I know I will have a Thanksgiving to remember tonight or possibly and more likely be reminded that I had a good time!

Hey Mac! I'm going to make a batch of this for Xmas this year. When you put it in the jars do you seal them or just use any old jar?

Any old mason jar is fine and it must have a seal and then throw in the fridge.

Re: Mac's Apple Pie Shine

I've been making this same recipe (minus the whipped cream vodka) for years (well, I only use a 1 L of Everclear). Cloudy cider, apple juice, etc., is all the same. Just whipped up the first winter batch today. Damn good stuff. I usually go through about 3 batches during the winter months. Not bad pricing: $20+ for a handle of Everclear (use 2/3 of it), $3.5 for the cider, $3 for the apple juice, $4 for the cinnamon sticks - got a little over $27 tied up in 9 quarts.

Mac, some of the worst drunk decisions of my life have been made with a mason jar of this in my hand. It went through me and my friends last winter and made for great memories. Maybe it's time to whip up another batch.....

Weather is getting colder and no one has made any yet this year? Or you just keeping it quiet?

Re: Mac's Apple Pie Shine

I have a few jars left but will most likely be making more in the next month or so.
