Claymores are great in this game. I'd get that rapid fire for the MP5 and slight of hand. Slight of hand is necessary for any running around because once you get it to pro you'll aim down the sights faster. Reloading faster helps too.

That's why I picked up a good headset recently.

Tritton AX Pro.

I want to get these as soon as I have some money. I had a chance to try them out for a few minutes and they blew me away.

They are worth the money IMO.

From the reviews I've read they didn't hold up that well. I hear lots of great things about Turtle Beach headsets. I ended up caving in and getting the Astro A30s that were for sale here awhile back. They're nice.

Don't know, They felt great on my melon. And didn't really feel that cheap that they will break.

I never even heard of astros. I'll have to find some to try out.

I have a pair of AKG K702's that I think would make great gaming headphones, But they take a lot to power them and don't have a mic adapter that I know of . Not sure what I would need for them as I use 1970's and earlier stereo equipment for music.

Lots of broken ones on ebay.

I wound up with the TB PX21s

I was looking at "Skullcandy GI SGS DJ-Style Stereo Headset with Boom Mic for Xbox 360" or the Turtle Beach's.

I thought about getting the Slight of Hand...but I usually die before I have to reload :r :r :r so I thought I would wait on that :D

They aren't very bassy, but they have it where it counts. I really like them a lot. I couldn't speak more highly of these. They can be used for EVERYTHING since they come with every cord you'll ever use except for an optical cable.. I now use them with my ipod, for movies, and gaming. I haven't used them for my laptop yet, but I will. They almost don't even feel like I'm actually wearing them.

The best part of SOF is when you get it pro. That faster aiming down the sights really helps.

Capture the Flag and Domination are different. Domination rocks some serious points if you capture locations. :tu

Getting better at killin some mo fo's! :r

Still playing domination, I got Ghost, Slight of Hand, and Ninja. I am debating on getting rapid fire next or Claymores.

Been looking at the requirements to get some of these perks to Pro....what the heck is a sentry...guess I gotta shoot one.

Sentry gun, you have to carry flash bangs with you as they can still shoot you even with Ghost. Flash it to get behind it, then knife it. You can also blow them up, but it takes a few grenades/grenade launchers, usually more than you get in a single life. :tu

I would go with Claymores first, although on regular it may be over-rated. They will at least let you know when they are gone. :2

Sentry gun is a motion activated machine gun on a tripod....
Don't shoot it you won't win.
Come up behind it and knife it!!!

I played on PS3, but I got tired of waiting so after two of my friends bit the bullet and got an XBox, I couldn't hold out anymore. Been playing on XBox for about 2 weeks now.

I might go to PS3 for the double xp 24/7 nuketown, but not sure. Since the twitter guys play XBox I might just stick with that.

Took me so many tries to knife mine for Ghost Pro.. I'd always get within a few feet and someone else would get it..

I've been trying the past two nights to get Ninja Pro. I completely destroyed my K/D ratio trying to play Demolition and plant bombs but finally planted 10 but the last requirement is to knife 10 people in the back. I try and I try but even when I think I got them in the back it doesn't reward me, its a bit frustrating.

Yep. And sometimes even if you do knife them, it wont count. You have to be lined up directly behind them. I pretty much quit using Ninja though. I think the Hacker perk is more valuable.

I have exclusively used Hacker Pro until this week and agree but wanted to try it out after Adam's recommendation.

Again I am at level 50 and not sure if I want to prestige. I hate giving up all my stuff but I also hate seeing my earned XP go to waste

My buddy swears by Ninja Pro, you can hear people from 100 feet away. I like Hacker Pro, because you can tell where people are hiding. I don't move much, so it may not be as beneficial. I love hacking things, especially Care Packages, its so much fun to see them try to pick it up and blow up. :tu

Hacking the care packages is hilarious. People forget that in hardcore that you can pause and the map will show you where packages drop. I try to hack everything I see.

I would like to get Ninja Pro to use for my 'camping' loadouts. I agree it would be great to hear people coming from a ways away.

I check the map about every 3 seconds, its very under-rated, you have to be able to do it to be effective. I miss the days of MW2 where the red dots would show up when people were firing, even when there was no radar up. :tu

Maybe they will let me hear the 10 year olds creeping up behind me that knife me in the back all the time. I tell you what...last night some dude went like 46-6 and it looked like a hack but it was probably a 5 year old with skillz that killz. :r

If I average a 1.0 k/d ratio I'm doing ok. I've been trying to use the tomahawk but it's highly inaccurate imo unless I'm really really close. I do love it when I kill someone on a streak and they get all pissed about behing scalped. ROFLMAO!

There are two map packs. Each are 1200 points. (You have to buy the points.) I haven't played the second map pack yet. The hubby isn't to happy with the newest map pack.

Fama's is a heavier gun. Make sure you have a pistol as your secondary. Less weight then a launcher. Usually once you get Marathon Pro or Lightweight Pro, it's a HUGE difference. And the AK is a lighter gun also. One of my FAV's!

The new maps are really good, imo. The Famas is probably the best gun. Its more acurate and has a higher rate of fire than the other guns. I love using it with a silencer and ghost pro. No one knows where you're coming from.

Like I mentioned the other night, if your gonna use and assault rife go with ghost and DON'T plan on doing a lot of running. If you wan to run, you may as well do it the best you can and set up a running class with a light sub machine gun. I love the AK74u, but it is a lot heavier than the other subs.

It was fun playing with you for a few, by the way.

I would buy the first one, first. Most have that one now. First Strike. It's the one with Stadium, Kowloon, Berlin Wall, and Discovery. Stadium is a smaller map and very fast paced. Kowloon is a good map once you get used to it. Lots of hiding places. It's very scattered. Berlin Wall is a good map. If you hear the siren's, RUN! Discovery, hate the map. There are areas that can be blown up. So watch out when you run near cliff's or bridges. The ground might disappear.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops

So the TB headset came yesterday. I played about an hour. Talk about a whole new game! I love hearing footsteps to my left or right. I think it so far has slightly improved my game but usually I'm a run and gun type. I'd like to snipe but there really are not great maps for that.

Oh and I favor the spas-12 with a silencer on the "firing range" map with a pistol as secondary. I take frags and claymores. Nothing like smoking players with the spas-12 and hearing them get pissed off! Usually I'll drop the pistol for the primary they were carrying. :D
