Haha.

Denny Crane, not Craig.

Is anyone else looking forward to this weeks episode?

Dunham (I assume the alternate) as a redhead, what's not to like? :p

A few thoughts on last night's ep:
-The alternate Statue of Liberty was very dark. Bronze?
-The US map in Walternate's office caught my eye. Something looked off, but I don't have a DVR.
--The trip across "burned out" the Cortexaphan Kids (tm). Will this have an effect on Dunham down the road?
-Who was the leader of the alernate team? Is he one of the Cortexaphan Kids in our universe?
-Was that Nixon on the silver dollar used to do the gravity test?

Re: Fringe

No Tivo, so dunno. Regardless, I have to call BS on the show. OK, Olivia is Olivia in both worlds. Walter is Walter, Peter is Peter (or would be, were he not "half-dead"), Martin Luther King Jr. is apparently MLK Jr. there, all the other people are the other people . . . but they never heard of Andrew Jackson? WTF? Does this mean that Col. Jackson was killed down in N'awlins in 1814? And if so, why could not one of those brainiacs mentioned that?

Hell, I don't expect my fantasy fixes to be logical, but I do expect some logical consistency in my illogic. Does that make sense? You know what I mean, regardless.

Well, we do know that there are some significant differences. Maybe Jackson was never president? I wouldn't expect them to have heard of a specific colonel, no matter how distinguished his career. And maybe whoever was prez in Jackson's place led down a road where technology developed at a slightly quicker pace.

What's scary is I know exactly what you mean.

But there is an easy, two word explanation.
It's television. ;)

Yeah, but since I have no life, it's real to me. :r

Technically that explanation is one word, "it's" is a contraction. ;)

I finally watched last weeks episode.

It was good, but a lot of stuff does not yet add up.

Let's see what tonight brings us.

It's (word #1) television (word #2). Hence, the two word explanation.

I think I've figured it out. At the end of tonight's ep, Denethor will wake up in Minas Tirith and say, "I just had the strangest dream..." ;)

What, we talking an alternate Middle Earth now? Kewl.

Last night tied up a number of loose ends for me, but opened up another whole can of worms for next season. Can I wait? Guess I'll have to.

Tried to make a joke (that no one got) referencing the finale of Newhart and the fact that John Noble played Walter and Denethor.

I figured out the Dunham switch right away. Next season will be interesting.

Eh...My thoughts are that we did a shape shifter / type writer villain when Charlie was taken over.

My issue with time travel is always the same...the slightest change would change everything! i.e. Dunham's mom is alive in alternate universe yet she still works in the FBI there? Her sister is dead in alternate world...which may affect her profession as well.

Anyway, I still watch it and try my best to get over literal "what the hecks?" It is still a fascinating show in that you never know what will happen next!

I did. Just finished.

It was worth going back and starting over. Couple things tho:

Who exactly was Newton? Why was his head frozen, who froze it and how did he have knowledge of not only Walters brain parts, but the people they were in.

And why was the German so pissed at Bell and why did he want to kill him? He could make a doorway, why did Newton need the brain-memories to figure it out? All he had to do was get the German and he could have extracted his info.

Also, I don't buy Olivias reaction to being imprisoned by Walternate. She wouldn't just break down and beg.

Off to watch Dexter Season 4 now!

I gotta watch tonights episode but let me say ....I liked the first seasons better. This new season MEH. The whole alternate universe plot is just not my thing. I'll keep watching but if it doesn't get better soon I'll probably stop after this season.
