Disclaimer: Not my pics, I'm too lazy.

This is my everyday carry knife

This is my baby, been my on duty knife for several years, very expensive and discontinued. It's actualy my second one and the fact that they are discontinued made this a very hard knife to hunt down. (I lost the first one :( )

Also have random assortments of Spyderco and CRKT (my dad use to sell knives and guns so CRKT use to send him a lot of freebees

I carry a SOG Flash I everyday. I also tend to carry my Kershaw Black Vapor II, and on occasion my n.e.c.k.

I switch up my EDC knives but I've been favoring the smaller/lighter variety lately over the combat folders.

today its my Frank Centofante (mines a teeny bit different but very similar):

I also like carrying a small william henry automatic.

eventually I'll buy a custom like a mel purdue but that can hold off for a little while.

I need to get myself a nice tactical knife for work. What are some good options around $75 bucks? I want it to be assisted opening and have a partial serated blade. I want something cheap until I decide to get an automatic knife with my creds.

I ran into one of the RP reps and he has an older Swiss Army Knife with a cigar scissor -- I love it. Unfortunately, they do not make it anymore. The closest you can get is an SAK with a punch.

Kershaw - Ken Onion - Chive I have carried it for several years and really like it. 2" blade so legal anywhere but does most everyday job well. I don't think they make the exact one I have anymore it is black & gold with a black blade very similar to this newer one that is all black. The assisted opening is great with a super fast dependable system.:tu

I carry a Kershaw Blur in the tanto blade everyday and its a wonderful knife.

I love the feel of the handle, its a great size for my hand and teh assisted opening is smooth and controlled, doesnt feel like its gonna flip out of your hand if you dont have a good grip on it.

Im my fire department turn out gear, I carry the same knife, but in the rescue model, which has a blunt tip and a window punch on the end (never used it). Its got a different type of sereted edge, whihc both are equally good. I think the rescue model works better on things like cord and other smaller diameter objects, as where my tanto one works better on larger objects due to the "deeper" serated parts.

I usually carry this model Zero Tolerance. 0350. I like the DLC coated blade, G10 scales, S30V steel, FAST deployment with Speed Safe, 4 position clip for preferred carry.

Several different Kershaws and Hide-away-knives. Do a search for hide away knife, pretty handy little knife. I have the utility version in straight blade and claw.

What is the best way to sharpen your knife?
What about your kitchen knives (semi decent stuff Ja Henkels)
What if your EX-significant other abused them (kithchen knives) and they are all nicked up?

I figure you guys probably have links to this info or maybe it's a personal preference thing.
Thanks for your replies!
Ken

Picked up a DLC combo edged Leek at the show this week. I hate flying in and not having a blade. Felt good to rectify the problem. ;)

the serrated edge is slightly different, a uniform scalloped grind rather than the compound serrated grind here, but an elegant, sharp, thin bladed gentlemans knife, I think. Love the speedsafe open on the Ken Onion designs.

I'm a bit of a knife nut. Here are some of my favorites from left to right. Mick Strider Custom XL SLCC, Strider SMF, Emerson Combat Karambit. The SMF is my work horse. Tough as hell. Any other knife nuts on here? Whatcha got?
