In a shootout...that's some scary lineups!

Wouldn't want to be either of the two goalies.

Real big....The USA leads the pool...too bad that doesn't mean sh*t for the whole shebang. :r

Hard for me not to root for Canada to some extent, with Toews, Seabrook and Keith all on the roster.

Should be a interesting to see who the top four teams (bye to the Quarter Finals). Some really big games over the next couple days.

Yup....The U.S. needs to try to take Canada at least to OT to ensure Russia doesn't get the bye over them.

I love hockey!! :ih :wo

Well if miller can turn in a hiller like performance which I think is possible, it could happen.
I will be watching for sure. Cant imagine a bigger shot in the arm for USA hockey to have the Jr's win gold against Canada and then the US mens to take out Canada. I know its very unlikley, but hey I can dream. Cant imagine the train wreck that would occur up north if this did happen. :r

The sky would be falling.

OT my little man is playing goal tomorrow. They make all the kids play goal one game in minimites. At 4 he isnt small, but the pads they have are 24 inches. So yeah hes pretty much a screen door out there with little movement. He thinks Patty Roy though so it promises to be pretty funny. Wish him luck cause hes gonna get shelled. Was going to get him a pair of 20 inch pads, but he wants new graf 370 supras and I dont want him tending goal anyway. He wants hampster pads though.

BEST OF LUCK to your son.... Between the pipes sucks for a parent IMO... Probably worse if you are behind the mask....

Wish I had some of the Little Man's old pads & I'd FedEx them your way........ He did the goalie thing for a short time.... Gave them away as he aged.... What you see in the pic was actually "lost" by a coach of his that wanted to sell it at a clinic he was doing....

That said, I am not sure he had anything that small....???

Summer Season(3-3) photo.... Even when he decided "Dad, I need to be scoring goals" ....he use to spend the Summers in net....

P.S. Little Man is also a BIG FAN of Graf skates..... Currently wearing G5's.....

Ya pretty decisive win. I'm really surprised on how competitive the games have been though. Four blowouts and two of those were Norway.

Absolutely, Canada, Russia, Sweden, Czechoslovakia, Finland and the U.S. all have a legitimate chance to win this tourney.

Thanks guys it actually went really well today. He played two 20min games and gave up 2 in the first game and 1 in the second game getting 2 victories. His teamates love him and cleared out all the rebounds, dove to block shots, and ran a kid or two over to keep his crease clear. :r Not to mention they scored a ton of goals. He played sound positionaly like I had been teaching him. Stayed square to the shooters and huged the posts when supposed to. made a some stick saves etc. He got mobed by the team after the games, but he didnt like being on the bottom of the pile 6 year olds. We got real lucky one of the dads from another team had a pair of 20 inch pads and let him use them. helped out a lot. They are narrower and shorter so he had good movement.

When it was all over he said something that made me very happy. "daddy, I dont want to play goal anymore. I want to skate fast and score goals. I really want those skates like yours." :tu 370 supras it is If he decides he wants to play goal again I will let him play roller hockey goal or when he starts playing summer.

Two victories, a GAA of 1.50...that's some goaltending! Looking forward to hearing about his first hat trick at forward, Mike. :)
