Been doing a lot of reading lately... started and finished a short story by Brandon Sanderson called Firstborn -- nice little read. I also read Warbreaker and Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. Would like to see some sequels to these books -- I thought they were both very good.

Also read Containment by Christian Cantrell an SF novel about the first colony on Venus. And I read Treason by Orson Scott Card. This was an early work from Card that he touched up a bit before publishing.

Now I am trying to decide whether to read The Great Santini or The Count of Monte Cristo... Tough choice :)

Devil's Knot. It's about the west Memphis 3. Some infuriating displace of abuse of the criminal justice system in there

Just finished Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Had never read it before and had heard good things about it. Picked up a hard copy for a quarter at a garage sale. Good read.

Just finished The Shia Revival: How Conflicts Within Islam Will Shape the Future by Vali Nasar. It gives a good historical perspective about why there is tension between Shias and Sunnis. Lots of insight about Iran's rise as a regional power.

Now, I'm about half way through Fall of Giants by Ken Follett. Really enjoyed his sagas about 12th and 14th century England. This is his first of a three book series that follows several fictional families from just before WWI to the Cold War. So far, it's great read.

Any comments on that one? I just picked up a couple Flynn books. Not bad for thriller pop fiction.

Currently I am reading "The Looming Tower" by Lawrence Wright - It is his analysis, based on interviews over many years on the road to 9/11, its justifications and impact.

I am just starting it, about 1/3 done so far. It ts MItch's early life. So far I like it, but I have liked all of them.

Just finished 'Consent to Kill' by Vince Flynn. After I finished it I found out it was book #6 in a series of books. Waiting for #1-5 to arrive now.

That's my favorite and they plan to make a movie based on it! I'm excited!
don't worry about where you start, they all weren't in chronological order anyway I found out.
