Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Friday! We all had a good time last night at Schlesinger's, the place was hoppin' and and it was good to see everyone as always. Sports wise, the MLB spring training is coming to an end, college basketball (both men's & women's) is down to the Final Four, NHL is about to start their playoffs and the NASCAR drivers are in Martinsville, VA this weekend. I hope everyone has a relaxing one and enjoys....... :D

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's back to work Monday. Beth and I had a relaxing weekend as planned. I spent a few hours at the cigar shop with the guys on Saturday, watched war movies and smoked a couple. Yesterday after running errands, we went to a family birthday party and then got home to watch the NASCAR race followed up by the women's championship basketball game. I see that the Yankees lost their season opened in Tampa, come on fellas, let's make this a good year. Anyway, enjoy your week everyone and smoke a couple of your favorites if you get the chance........ :)

Congrats to the University of North Carolina Tar Heals men's basketball team beating Gonzaga last night and being reigned as the national champs. Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Friday! We had a great time last night at Schlesinger's, the place was jammed packed as it was the first official event of the year. I picked up a handful of Joya Blacks and enjoyed a couple of Ligas during the evening. Sports wise this weekend, we have the NHL prepping for the playoffs, MLB in full swing, the Masters golf tournament and lastly, the NASCAR racers in Texas. Enjoy the weekend everyone....... :D

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's the same ole' back to work Monday. Had a busy weekend: painted the bathroom ceiling first thing Saturday morning after a Friday evening prep, then went to the cigar shop for a while and relaxed a bit. Yesterday, Beth and I spent the day between New Paltz and Highland, NY checking out a few establishments and then relaxing in the backyard where I finished up with a tasty cigar. We had a great time Thursday evening celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Newburgh Brewery and it was special to see the NY Rangers on the monster screen win as well. Good morning everyone, the Killer Beans coffee is on and it's kickin'. Congrats to the Yankees as they won 3 - 1 last night, the same 2 teams will play again tonight. Today being Thursday, we'll be at Hudson Valley Cigars / Schlesinger's Cigar Bar enjoying primo stogies and wrapping things up for next week's trip to Cigarfest up at Split Rock Resort in the Poconos. We have the 3 houses again on the Lake (each house has 5 bedrooms, 2 fire places, pool table, hot tub, etc).

Things are ready for Cigarfest, we can hardly wait. Congrats to the Yankees as the shut out the Red Sox 3 - 0. They take on the Orioles this weekend at home in the Bronx which should be a good 3 game series. Unfortunately, the NY Rangers lost last night 2 - 1, lets bounce back guys and tie up the series this coming Saturday afternoon. Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's back to work Monday. It was a very productive weekend as Beth and I did quite a bit of spring cleaning: washed all the windows inside and out, resealed/repainted the 3 season room concrete floor, put out a lot of old stuff from the attic/garage/shed for pickup, and tonight I'm cutting the grass to make the yard look good. Congrats to Joey Logano to taking the checked flag in yesterday's NASCAR race. The Yankees did come back in the 9th yesterday but lost in extra innings. Saturday, Beth and I went to "Live at the Falcon" and supported Habitat for Humanity where they had a great Jazz / Blues band and then in the evening celebrated one of our nieces 40th birthday. Good morning all, the espresso coffee is on and it's Saturday morning. We had a good couple down in Pennsylvania, got to spend time with my son Jeremy and celebrate his birthday. Visited a couple of micro breweries, one in which our friends own in Bethlehem, PA (The Bonn Place). If your ever in the area, stop in and see Sam and the crew and they'll definitely take good care of you. As far as the Crown Heads cigar event at Famous, we had a great time. Saw a number of friends there from NJ, PA, DE, etc. It was good to see Jon Huber (owner of Crown Heads), we've been friends since the ole' CAO days.
Sports wise this weekend, the Yankees lost night 5 - 4, lets go guys and turn things around and put up a few "W"s now. The NASCAR drivers are in Charlotte, NC this evening running the All-Star race which is a non-point race. Winner gets 1 million which is not too shabby for a few hours of work. This will be a long week as it's graduation week here at West Point; parades, special events, a number of high profile individuals and distinguished visitors. The actual graduation is Saturday which means overtime from 0430 until completion, some time in the afternoon. Anyway, sports wise, the Yankees won last night 3 - 2. Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Friday! Tomorrow is the big day at West Point, "Graduation". We have to be in work by 0430 and have the Emergency Operation Center up and running by 0500. It's going to be a long day but it's well worth it at the end. Sports wise, the Yankees got rained out yesterday and the game will be played some time in September. As long as the weather cooperates this evening, they'll be taking on the A's home in the Bronx with a game time of 1905 (7:05pm). The NASCAR drivers are in Charlotte, NC this weekend with the longest race of the season on Sunday, the Coca Cola 600. Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend everyone and be safe....... :D

Yesterday's graduation at West Point went off without a hitch, 936 newly appointed 2nd Lieutenants are ready to be young Army officers to serve and command. It was a long day but all well worth it. I see that the Yankees won, keep it up fellas and lets do it again today. The NASCAR race today starts at 1800 (6:00 pm) which starts in daylight and finishes in darkness.
