Been making homemade Mojitos for the last 2 weeks with Pyrat rum.

I think I'm hooked on these things.

I make mine in a tall Pilsner glass 20oz.

Fresh mint from my garden, break off about 8 leaves in bottom of glass.
Lime juice - add to bottom of glass.
simple syrup - 1 cup brown sugar, 2 cups water and boil. add this to bottom of glass.

take wooden spoon and smash up the mixture in bottom of glass to break up the mint.

Add crushed ice filling the glass.
Add dark rum
Add club soda

mix

top off with a slice of lime and mint leaves.

Empty glass into mouth :noon

I like mine with brown sugar and dark rum.

Sorry no measurements but I make them by taste and never really measured out.

Pint sized screwdrivers *my recipe 8oz vodka, 2oz OJ..a bit of ice* till I fall over.

It's hot and humid here. So my drink for the night is good old G&T. Better than lemonade.
