Thought it was great D. Sedin took out Luongo on the second goal. :r

I loved Thomas skating around the rink with that cup. He took a long stroll.

I wonder if the Canucks run that head case out of town. He choked yet again.

Brad freakin Marchand 5'9 180.

Great game to watch, made it home from the kids hockey clinic in time to see most of the 2nd period and on...

That crowd went dead silent...then made more noise booing Bettman than they did cheering for their own team! I never heard him have to yell so loud to get above a crowd before.

I was really hoping to see Cam Neely hoist the cup, I hope someone got a picture of it to post online.

We named our son after him, it's great to finally see him get his name on the Cup!

Congrats to the Bruins :wnr

I was reading some of the tidbits from the game and series, thought I'd share a couple:

Quote:

The oldest Conn Smythe Trophy winner in NHL history stopped a jaw-dropping 238 of the Canucks' 246 shots in the finals for a .967 save percentage. That's even better than his .940 mark and 1.98 goals-against average for the entire postseason.
Quote:

The Bruins are the first team in NHL history to win a Game 7 three times in the same postseason, and Thomas posted shutouts in the decisive game of the Eastern Conference finals and the Stanley Cup finals.
And my favorite mistake from ESPN.com, doesn't anyone proofread articles??

Quote:

The NBA finals ended before the Stanley Cup finals for the first time since 2002, when the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Detroit Red Wings to their respective titles.

Congrats to the Bruins.

I have to say I'm not very impressed with Vancouver. I counted at least 4 ugly cheapshots (including spearing) during the game plus the fans are rioting. Maybe they'll get stuck with the same stigma Detroit carried around for that crap. Enjoy it.

Congrats to Tim Thomas. I live about 10 minutes from his home town of Davison Michigan, I'm sure they are pretty proud of him.

I got to watch the game with my 13-year-old daughter. By the end of the game we were both spent.

She went to school this morning wearing her Lucic jersey.

I’m smiling like the cat that ate the canary! All the boo’s during the Cup ceremony was awesome. Bring it on you sore losers.

Loungo critiquing Thomas reminded me of when Fignon congratulated Lemond for his 2nd place finish in the TdF with two stages left. We all know who that Tour.

Not to defend the crazy Nucks fans but, in my opinion those boos weren't for Boston. They were for Gary Bettman. Remeber those fans eat, sleep, sh%t hockey. Bettman took that away from them for an entire season not so long ago. I too despise the man.

Bettman was long gone from the ice when the fans continued to boo the celebration, Mike.

True, but the intensity level was insane when Bettman was up there.

More people in Boston watched the Stanley Cup than the Celtics vs Lakers Finals a couple of years ago. Shows how deep hockey runs in these parts.

Lets not forget them throwing things at players and Bettman. A water bottle came flying in at Thomas. I kept seeing stuff coming over the glass. I dont think to many would be sad to see Bettman hit, but as usual way over the top from those fans. I figured with all that pot they would be happy.

Man a lot of people rioting had the Luongo jersey. :r
Well hes signed till 43 with a no trade clause apparently. Maybe he will get one eventually, but they were already talking about the defense core and their moves. One things for sure it was not as deep as they thought it was and they will lose a player or two. Hopefully the NW is tougher next year so their record isnt inflated again.

Wow Just got back from five days of fishing in the Great North Woods, I'm so glad the camp had satellite TV.
It was nice to watch the Bruins beat the bag off the Canucks, what a bunch of cheap shot punks.
How about the job Brad Marchand done on Daniel Sedin all series, how could that guy look at himself in the mirror?:banger
Anyone hear from Geoff I hope he's not out tipping cars over :D:D

4-0 win for the Bruins, and both Henrietta and Danielle Sedin were -4. The only reason Burrows was only -3 was one of the goals was shorthanded, and Alexis couldn't join her line.

14 of the top 16 +/- leaders for the playoffr season were on the Bruins.

Wow. Just heard they burned 15 cars in one night. Over 140 treated for injuries at hospitals. Lots of property damage besides the cars.

Nothing like going out and proving in convincing fashion what people have been saying about your city. Cant wait to see the final numbers.
