Had some brindle flake this morning, loved it!

Re: Whats in your bowl?
I had a bowl of "sweepings". Mostly VaPers with a little Balkan and some other stuff mixed in. Not bad stuff. The only problem is when it's great, there's little chance of reproducing it exactly.

Yesterday was cob Tuesday so I took my favorite Santia cob and loaded it with my favorite H&H El Nino.
Today was some 10 year old Brown Clunee in a regular cob while spinning some briar on the lathe. |

Re: Whats in your bowl?
Captain Bob's Blend in a Missouri Pride Cob, and in a Baraccini Tulip. This was my first smoke in the Tulip. I got it on special last year and just got around to using it. I did open up the airway and chamfered the end of the tenon because I have read in the past these pipes are not good smokers. I should have smoked it before making the mods...but it is a flawless smoker now that cost (at the time) around $30.

Smoked my first bowl of Dunhill Nightcap tonight. That is some nice tobacco. One of the best I have tried in my limited experience so far!

Re: Whats in your bowl?
I felt that way about a tin I smoked ~November. But then I smoked Pease "Gaslight," which is so good I would have to classify it as belonging in the stratosphere with 3Nuns made by Imperial, which is not to say anything bad about "Nightcap," always a classic.

Off to the shop for a day of playing on the lathe. I'll be smokin' H&H El Nino to start the day, then a bowl or two of Blackhouse, finishing the day off with Magnum Opus. All will be in pipes I made. :tu |

Yesterday was two bowls of the H&H Marquee to be named later blend & finished the day with Magnum O! again.
Today I think will be a cigar day. |

Re: Whats in your bowl?
Had a bowl of Old Gowrie and really enjoyed it. Could've been made better by the fact I never had to relight it and I was smoking outside for the first time in months. A great smoke nonetheless.

Boswell's Northwoods.....again and again. Love this stuff.

Re: Whats in your bowl?
A wee bit of mid 90's Nightcap in an Old Dominion "Chesapeake" cob. These tiny pipes are good for a apx. 10 min. treat.

Re: Whats in your bowl?
I recently picked up a tin of Dunhill Nightcap and just now got around to trying it. I gotta say that it was delightful! If it weren't for my increasingly disappointing Kaywoodie, I would have enjoyed it better. I like the shape of the Kaywoodie, but it burns way too hot and the draw is tighter than I like. This baccy may just inspire me to smoke a pipe more often and find a replacement for the Kaywoodie.

I've read complaints that most SG blends are very wet. I've had very little trouble with my tin though. Dry some and try it both ways. I've seen the same tobacco exhibit different flavors when dried vs. out of the tin. Cheers :tu |
